FSX can look photorealistic if you have the right add-ons; lets hope flight fixes the engine so it runs more efficient on todays machines.
This is exactly what I do -- plugged in my PS3 & PC to my 40" 3D LED HDTV. The results are orgasmic, BF3 looks incredible, TF2 looks great. Try playing FSX (MS flight sim) with a head tracker (track IR) and you are fully immersed.
Liquid: check out the samsung tvs, they beat the sony's in resolution. I was shocked at how great the picture was when I connected my computer. You just have to adjust the sharpness (decrease it), and everything looks great.

those specs look really shit. save the money and go with AMD cpu.
I'm happy with my AMD Phenom II 955 quad core over clocked to 3.7 ghz (it can go much much higher if you get a cooler) which I got for $100.

good choice on the cpu but i'd substitute the radeon card for nvidia.
hmm, I just upgraded my computer -- switched to AMD because intel is charging too much for their chips. Ended up getting a Phenom II 955 Quad Core 3.2 ghz, but it overclocks without any problem.
Now running at 3.7 ghz. Don't bother with triple cores, it might not unlock (its all due to the manufacturing).
Also, save up and get a reliable card from a good company. HIS is shit; I bought one of their crappier cards for one of my older computer; crashes all...
