I got the blinking blue light when I first set up my PS4.
I swapped out the HDMI cord with a known working one and it was no longer an issue. Maybe I was lucky?
Try out Blacklight. It's free 2 play, and atleast tie you over when Dice finally fixes the game.
I agree. A Game should be reviewed by it's merits on day 1.
If a developer get's bad scores, then it's their fault they released a half-ass game.
I wouldn't mind a re-review 30+ days later but it shouldn't affect the initial score.

Atleast you guys can play conquest and singleplayer.
On PS4 save files corrupt and there is contant disconnections. Zero Voice chat.
Sorta disappointed about bf4.Battlfield 4 needs a patch bad.
Single player Save files corrupt for almost everyone.
No voice chat enabled.
No group play enabled.
Small modes work(like tdm and squad deathmatch), but obliteration and rush tend to drop everyone from the server after about 2 or 3 rounds.
I got into a game of Conquest, but once it got to about 20+ I got kicked out.

Point is stuff like this is expected. NOW if there was reports of the PS4 overheating, then that's an issue. The console has been out 4 days.

It's basic troubleshooting. For instance, if you are still having issues, try swapping the PS4 power cord with the PS3.
....take out the HDD and "snap it back in".
....reset the console to factory settings and try patch again.
Another factor is that people need to consider that "sometimes" boxes get damaged in frieght shipping too.
I will probably pick up an Xbox1 if the price is right and for Halo...
But you have to factor that you are now paying for 2 separate online subscriptions.
Factor that over 5 years, say 50$ a piece and thats 500$.(50+50*5).
