GOW was a great game and came really close to beating Elder Scrolls 4 for 2006 game of the year.
Gears multi was tactical yet it wasn't overran with campers.
Gears single player was pretty good, and the ending was enjoyable.
However, the graphics were great at the time. I don't know why people compare graphics to the game, since Even Mark Rein president of Epic studios himself said Unreal 3 (ps3 and PC) had better graphics.

I bought a Ps3 thinking the same thing and I thought MGS4 was coming out in 2007 along with FFXIII.
If I knew it was going to take nearly 2 for a Socom, MGS4, FF13 and a wipeout game to come out, I would of held off until the 40 gig.
I know you love Xbox, and I know you love first person shooters...
So guess what?

First off I am guessing you stating your opinion based off the footage shown. I can see where you think the game will have alot of cutscenes, since alot of the stuff coming out is mainly well..cutscenes.
however did you see that last video of the Assasin's creed/w MGS4 video?

You also do realize this game comes with a Metal Gear Online starter pack? So well, there is multiplayer there...

I.E. The last Need For Speed had a unlockable cheat in which you could buy off XBL and PSN. It wasn't a code it was an actual patch so you could automatically unlock content from the get go.
I was cool with that since A) I didn't have the game and B) it was just an option since you could still unlock the cars from actually playing the game.

Yea the graphics look like crud still.
The textures look really bland, especially the ground, and the uniforms.
I do like the extra accessories, but the color in the game sucks.
I also hope they don't go above 20 USD$, I know its Socom but >20$ would be arrogant and a ripoff for "just" 5 maps in a online only game.
I also thought Warhawk was way overpriced, and the current 30$ Sony is asking for it is about right.
Lucas and Marth in the top 5? Wtf they can barely save themselves from falling off the edges.
Marth has a good pop up, but that its. Also all of Ness/Lucas moves require skill to actually make them effective. Thier Final Smash are both weak by a land shot.
Sonic should of made the top 5 because he can jump the highest with the spring special, his final smash is cheap, and he is the fastest in the game with his attacks (spin dash lock-on).
We might get Fallout this year, but I never played a Fallout game...
And then we might get.. wow where are the RPG's?

Any game that comes out on the ps3 in June is going to have a tough time.
That is longer than most RPG's let alone there is also plenty of multiplayer
