This is hiding your head in the sand, rowsdower.
In this economy, in this dimension, in this universe, the number of pieces of hardware or software sold funds future investiments.
so...
you should care if you're a gamer, whatever system you own.
Battling over sales data is stupid, but those numbers are important.
People care about sales, because the more a console sells, the bigger is the chance to have dev's interest.
Not everyone can afford more than one system, not everyone wants to have 2 systems, not everyone wants to buy a system just for 2 games.
The real problem is that all this doomy advertise of PS3 was false, but actually convinced a lot of people that 360 was ther winner console and the best pick.
Without all those articles the 360 would have sold far far less.
Almost everyone wants to be on board of the chariot of the winner, it's human nature, but a good 35-40% of people buys something because others have it.
And what's the sentence that you hear more often?
"I'm going to buy the 360 (or...
What is clear is that everytime there's an interview they receive answers about the PS3 version.
There is interest, where's the interest there's money to earn.
I partecipate in the DAO chat on PSBlog a month ago and I typed the question "Will you bring the ME series on PS3" every minute.
Not even a question of this kind appeared on an official blog.
Something is cooking, :) I hope...
OMG! LOL!
The show didn't live up to the hype.
The best game IMHO has been Spec-Ops.
Medal Of Honor is not bad but too much derivative, and a single setting (Afghanistan) won't be good for a full game.
Tron is useless.
Prince of Persia is clearly the movie spin off.
People has not understood yet that 3rd party only utilize max 3 SPU (to emulate 360's architectural design).
One day devs will learn how to unlock all the untapped raw power.
If they have more budget with a multiplat release and can use it to tweak the game, I'm fine with that, since I like the concept art, I like the setting ideas, but the game is poorly assembled until now.
The new screens are a little better perhaps.
If multiplat=more money=more work=more polish, I can't see a single problem in releasing this title multiplat.
Yes Chris, I don't have a 7.1, I have a 5.1 and is not even connected to my PS3, but to my DVD.
And I'm more than fine with that.
And I only have only 6 Blu-Ray.
I like physical copies and not Digital distribution, and in fact I've got around 600-ish DVDs.
My point is that, with PS3 you have already the thing out of the box, and you can enjoy it if you have the passion/money to do it.
Seriously I don't understand all the hate.
The game is still wonderful on PS3 too, and again, for the thousandth time, the retail game runs better than the demo.
AMEN.
I found funny Epic's behviour.
They've got a cool game formula and have a clear personal character design.
They could take Gears gameplay, change character, story and setting and make a new franchise for PS3.
What's more interesting is that UE works on par with both consoles.
I'm playing the full game on PS3.
First, it runs a bit better than the demo.
Second, it's not that bad port that 360 owners wants you to believe (still it's clearly the inferior version)
Third, if the news is true, expect a patch and not the game good just out of the box.
Four, don't compare the game to God Of War, since they are vastly different.
Five, the game deserves to be played.
Six, PS3 owners are lucky to play both games, even if one is not th...
Guys, I'm one of the worse PS3 fanboy here, but don't be stupid and give a chance to this game.
Gaming is fun and this IS fun.
And I love GOW, but these games are 2 totally different experiences that can be both enjoyed much.
And I wonder if 360 can output 7.1 lossless audio.
Really, sometimes XBox users should stay silent to avoid epic fail.
Port the game to PS3 and 360.
I'm not interested in playing online, I'm intersted only in 4 games for 360, the 2 Gears and the 2 Mass Effects, I don't care about 50 pixels more or less, I don't care about a frame per second of difference, so why should I buy an XBOX?
So, basically I'm intersted in 2 IP developed but 3rd party studios, so why should I support a system that is faulty, and a manufacturer that has no respect for consumers (360 is not the only fail...Windows 98, Vista, the lack of an antivirus i...
I'm enjoying DAO a lot on my PS3, still, it's the "same old" Medieval RPG, while Mass Effect is a more original Sci-Fi RPG mixed with interesting TPS action.
I want Vanilla summon even if I didn't absolutely understood what it is. LOL
If you're an indipendent dev you must be stupid to avoid venues from a system that will ave a user base of 35-40 million by tend of 2010.
Exclusives were on PS2 because PS2 has 60-80 million users and 360 had 15-20 mil.
So, it's logic that Insomniac and Bungie go multi.
I also remember that at E3 2008, after becoming independent, Bungie were at Sony dev conference.
Can't wait.
Sony will show GOW3 new footage with updated graphic for sure (It has been said by a designer)
I wait for new stuff, Killzone 3 perhaps...but I would prefer new IPs
I played the game on PS3.
The game looks quite as good as 360, nothing to complain about it.
And corecting the gamma and the brightness works very well, so people should learn how to set TV controls.
During the cutscenes (most of the pics in the comparison), PS3 version has a cinematic blur effect, that IMHO fits better the mood of the cutscenes.
PS3 real problem is the terrible loadings and some frame rate hiccups.
360 version has an average 54 fps (not 60 fps, ...
