HD, a cohesive online community, trophies/achievements, dlc, hardrive disk, and a constant flow of AA/AAA games on PS3/360 have stolen away core gamers who wanted to love the Wii.

But what kind of control scheme will it use??? PvZ can get VERY hectic... even when using a mouse a Zombie will slip through and feast on your brains for not reacting quicker lol.
Retailers (especially Game Crazy and GameStop), use pre-orders to prevent from having too much or too little of a product. Getting too much in means left over copies which means money was wasted sending too much, and more money may be wasted to ship the game to another store location where it may sell. Not enough in stock means you lose customers who come to purchase the game to the other company that has the game...
In order words, pre-orders can really help a retail store.

Thats a lot of useful information. Though I haven't ran into any issues with input lag with HD monitors, but I have with my friends HDTV.
It varies.
The ones I've used have had a slight delay while gaming. But I've yet to try any of the recent projectors.
If there is a 2ms projector lol, I'd love to see it!

I prefer monitors/tv's over projection, so keep that feeling to yourself :D
But for gaming... I will take a speedy 2ms (response time) screen.
Oh and btw... games in 720p like Killzone 2(yes you can use 1080p but the framerate drops dramatically since it's real and not upscaled 1080p). I can't stand the image being stretched out over very large screens. It's like taking a photo meant for a wallet and blowing it up as a wall photo inste...

Anyways I agree with the huge HDTV and sitting back in a comfortable chair. Though a 24in monitor appears to be as big as a large HDTV when sitting at a desk. Also there are some extremely comfortable office chairs.
Honestly though I love both experiences and am a fan of PC and console gaming, I don't see the need for silly fanboy wars that divide the two...

For no reason besides being a "follower" of your friends should you get the console version over the PC version if you can run it smoothly... I mean it even perfectly supports the 360 controller...

Guild Wars lasted me from the time PS2 started slowing down and until PS3 got Warhawk+Ratchet+Uncharted.

Lack of LAN, yep sucks. I'd rather lose LAN than to lose Starcraft as a whole or have it "consolized" because of piracy... Crysis anyone?
Fanboyism aside, it's nice to see Crysis come to other platforms, but exclusives drive a platform, and if it takes actions like this so the devs can make a freaking profit for all their hard work on their PC exclusive...

Did you ever come to think that the games you mentioned all use less than 30% of the Cell's power, and that they have not even tried to maximize the PS3 when creating them?
And when it comes to physics your little Nvidia physx can go and crash to dust.
Physics is one of the things the cell does best.

This is coming from an i7 and PS3 owner.
I love both. But seriously my Core i7 PC with 6GB of RAM and a GTX 285 (along with Nvidia's Physx) murders the PS3. I compare them side to side just for fun with Fallout, Far Cry, GTA and more. The difference is like night & day.
The cell is nice, but at the end of the day the PS3's GPU holds the system back from comparing it game performance wise to an i7 PC equipped with a high end GPU.
If there is a Premium like edition for $99 without freaking DRM aka limited installs.

Or at least do a Far Cry 2... refund the install so you could reinstall it WITHOUT losing one of your installs.
But thats not going to happen.. the 99 dollar price in which does not expire after X number of installs.
My gf and I play Left 4 Dead, Guild Wars, Resident Evil 5, Blazblue, Unreal Tournament, Pixel Junk Monsters, soon to be Castle Crashers, and more.
Yes it does bring us closer and all that jazz. But man even having a gamer gf, she still pulls that "OMG NEED ATTENTION" crap when I play a game lol. It's wack because when she plays a game I don't go, OMG GIVE ME ATTENTION NOW!!!!
So! That said, co-op games prevent that lol.
