Japan doesn't hate Microsoft at all, the problem is the Xbox One. There are no interesting games for it in Japan, you can buy a PS4 that has the same games (except for the few first party exclusives) and a bunch of other Japanese games you can't find anywhere else.
This generation feels like Nintendo and Microsoft want to give as much market share as possible to Sony.
Japan is not Sony's motherbase. Playstation is way stronger in Europe and the US. Japan is Nintendoland.

It would be awesome, to be honest. Just needing to output games at 1080/60 means that the minimum specs won't be as high as the competition, making it more affordable for everyone else.
The problem might be with the PS Camera, since it will need an adapter to be used with a PC (you can't use the PSVR without it).

You are missing the point. It's not like the 60fps vs 30fps debate, it's about not getting motion sickness. You don't notice the game being more or less fluid, your body does and it feels much more natural. (according to those who tried all of them)

I was killed by a rough and all my stuff was stolen the first time I called for an extraction. The following 2-3 times it was hell because there were those bullet-spongy enemies everywhere. People were too busy bashing the PS3 to notice. The console still managed to outsell the 360 on the long run, even though it cost more from the beginning and came out 1 year later (1.5 in Europe).
The miracle update already happened and Xbox One is performing better than before (we went from 720p to 900/1080p dynamic resolution), but it won't get better than that, PS4 is more powerful, even though none of them is comparable to a high end PC.
I think Microsoft was always clear that Dx12 wouldn't bring any serious advantage to X1.
