Wow you guys love your bluray
mastiffchild has a point what about L4D that still has yet to make the jump are there were loads of ps3 rumors too, not sure if there was ps3 code in them but its still EA.
If Biowares relationship with MS is like Valves then you guys maybe outta luck
I doubt both would fit, since I believe they stream textures from the disk (which is why there was popin in the first one) and even with the speed of the 360s drive there was still popin. So all the textures would need to be uncompressed, because of how slow bluray is, which could take up a lot of extra space.
Also their engine was designed for the 360/PC so if they want to prevent a mandatory install they may need to store even more data on the disk.
Why would a PS3 owner want ME2 without 1? Going from the IGN review ME2 references to the first one A LOT and was their only negative.
Maybe these people should start looking at the ME1 code.
Next will be FFvsXIII most likely, there has yet to be a HD SE game not on the 360 this gen so its looking very likely.
If graphics were all that mattered the PS2 should be considered a failure then
Wow smaller than Lost Odyssey, not bad
If you just go by the logo and title it does seem very very similar to final fantasy. Since Last is another word for Final and Story is another word for Fantasy. And the logo is blatantly identical to the Final Fantasy ones.
If Hironobu Sakaguchi wasnt the creator of Final Fantasy Square Enix probably would have sued by now.
@Doc Sony
What are you talking about "point and shoot"!? I didnt mention shooting at all. All those thing are in basically every GAME genre, whether it be shooter, racing, fighting, sports, rpg etc but not in HR. There isnt even any AI since all the paths are predetermined, and you cant win/lose because the game will just keep going.
@Baka-akaB
"It will have basically assisted and limited action gameplay phase"
Whats that supposing to m...
How can you say Alan Wake is like a movie, yes it will have an great storyline and innovative story telling techniques but its still a GAME. Since you can run around an environment without restrictions, there are AI characters for which the player has to defeat/interact with and you can obviously win/lose the game. These are basic videogame conventions and if it doesnt have the majority of them then its not really a videogame.
The game is niche some will like it but most wont due to the fact its hard to see where the gameplay is. Games arent suppose to be movies they are suppose to be games.
Damn you guys are so desperate for a good RPG on your console.
Dont expect the port to be like dragon age cause Mass Effects engine was built for the 360/PC in mind not the PS3 so Mass Effect PS3 will probably be like The Orange Box 2.0 if its being ported by EA. Which it will be since Bioware is busy on ME3.
Cut scenes are fine is they are short, but if they are long they need to be engaging and not just people talking or be interactive like Assassins Creed 2 or Mass Effect.
Bluray is causing a lot of PS3 devs to make more movie scenes than normal just look at HR and MGS4. Someone has to draw a line.
It is very strange indeed, they can get the highest scores and biggest market campaigns and still sell rather averagely.
Sony is extremely lucky there is no piracy on the PS3 because if there was im not sure the system would has many (if any) million sellers
How did their profits TRIPLE eventhough their sales slipped 0.o
Well done MS they are in some serious money
Tales is good but i still think FFXIII is better the production values are just unbeatable.
As for Demon Souls it may be an RPG made in Japan but I just dont class it as a tradition JRPG
Still the best JRPG this gen so far
Cant play then on the ps3 though can you :)
All MS needs to do is advertise it well and it will succeed. If the mainstream media are so easily hyped by it the causal market should buy it in droves.
MS just needs a cheap price and just one game which demos how Natal is so much different from the Wii and then they're in
@swiftshot93
Im not that great but i know the game was shorter than most and you obviously couldnt be trying that hard if it took you 17 hours.
@snipermk0
No he isnt or he would have said. Seems to me like the author misunderstood what was said.
"I mean, we've got 31 million worldwide right now -- they've got 39 million. I don't even need to go out 10 years."
Wow Sony themselves have actually ADMITTED to being 8ml units behind, when did the gap widen so much.
