Nobody is spinning anything. Mario is just a higher rated game. You can spin it all you want, but that will not change.
If they were released in the same year, and nominated for the same awards, then something would be fishy...
Uncharted has a crap load of awards, but have you looked at them?
A lot of them consist of best graphics/visuals. A wii game won't win that.
Best voiced acting. A Mario game does not win voice acting.
Best use of, best whatever for a PS3 game. Wii games don't win ps3 awards.
Some are for technical achievements and multiplayer.
Most are game of the year, but they are released 2 year apart.

I liked Persona 4 more. It seemed a lot more lively and the case was really interesting, but EVERYONE seems to like Persona 3 the best. I'm the only one out of my group that liked 4 more than 3.

You cannot honestly believe that the spherical worlds are the only thing that gave Galaxy and RAC the praise that they received.
Galaxy had damn near perfect level design and creativity, and reviews for the game did not credit it for the creation of the spherical worlds. They credited it with the design of the worlds and how they were used.

It has a higher score on the meta critic site. It has a 99 on meta critic which makes it the highest on the site. It is the most well received game of all time and it certainly deserves it.
More reviews don't always help a game. More reviews can mean more chances for the game to get low reviews and lower the average rating. Less reviews is less chances to get high scores and low scores have more effect on the average. They both have bad sides and are pretty much equal.

I would assume that dev kit reports would not leave out something as important as another dedicated GPU, but this is all speculation.

PS3 versions loses that one. The 360 one has nicer clouds,sky, and you can actually see the entire boat. Just better lighting all around for that one particular comparison.
