My god. If this is the kind of inspiration people need to get up off their asses and really exercise, then humanity is doomed.
It's real simple. If you're unhappy with your weight or your body, get up and exercise, run, walk, work out, go to a gym, or play sports, and eat healtier foods. That's it. Nothing more. Game over.
As the group Public Enemy once said, "Don't believe the hype!"
because with all the hours I'll be playing GTAIV, I wouldn't want to be stopped due to a RROD or one of the bazillion other failures the XBox is notorious for. It could happen!
(I don't even own an XBox, i'm just trying to make a point.)
If something is that important to you, don't let someone else be responsible for it. One man's treasure is another man's trash. I learned that lesson a long time ago.
BUT, I feel bad for the kid who lost his custom box. This should never have happened. I have plenty of collectibles, some signed, and I would be PISSED if someone destroyed them for any reason. That's why they are kept in a safe place.
If it has lower review score than 7.0, I might rent it, but rarely have I bought a game that scored lower.
Then again, there are plenty of 9.0 and above games that I don't buy simply because it may not be my kind of game.
So reviews can have some or no impact on my decision.
I'd like to know why every week on PSN, there's a buttload of RockBand DLC, but hardly any other good stuff there. Why not more DLC for other games?
Come on Sony. Not everyone wants RockBand content. I actually have been playing real guitar for over 15 years, have been in real bands, and have played on real stages in front of real audiences. But then i'm an old fart around here I guess.
It's kind of funny actually. This younger generation complains about how they should be ...
It's a nice add-on, but as others have said, don't build a game around it or force players to use it.
Lair would have been a great game if we only had the option. I hope developers have learned from that huge mistake.
Kind of why I don't own a Wii. I like sitting on my ass and playing games. If I need exercise, I'll go outside and play a real sport or go to the gym.
I've had a PS3 since March 07 and currently own 17 blu-ray movies (i'm counting two trilogy packs as 6 invdividual discs). I have a 1080p 48" hdtv and a Bose surround sound system. Not a bad set-up in my opinion.
Every movie I buy, I read reviews first to see what people are saying about the video/audio quality and the extra features. (Visit highdefdigest.com, good info there.)
I only buy the "best of the best" blu-ray movies, for now. And every movie i've b...
Years and years and years of playing video games makes me want to kill TERRORISTS. You know, Al Qaeda and all those a-holes? I learned how to use U.S. MILITARY WEAPONS by playing video games my whole life.
So what is anyone going to do about it? Lock me up? Put me in an asylum? I have no intention of hurting anyone. I have no police record. I've never been in the military. I don't even own a gun. So what are you gonna do? Put me away because I MIGHT be a threat?
Oh, but i'm...
Wouldn't it be ironic if Thompson was killed by a teenage gamer?
***I'm not making any threats here, just making an observation on how the people whom he is supposedly trying to "protect" could end up being his biggest threat.
They said on the news today that the shooter in Illinois was trained in the military. He was discharged after only a few months of service. They didn't say why.
Sorry Jack. There's your "murder simulator". The US military.
Leave video games out of this.
...from the scans:
"We were told the PS3 version was running a week or so behind the 360 one in terms of completeness but will be nearly identical to look at and play. BOTH consoles will get additional downloadable content but the 360 GTAIV will have two exclusive missions."
I wasn't sure if the PS3 was getting any DLC or not. Glad to hear it is.
I'm in my thirties, I've been using Sony products my whole life, and I've never really been disappointed.
I agree with the article. Sony deserves more credit than they've received for the PS3.
I haven't been in a Walmart in almost two years.
I refuse to support them because I disagree with most of their business practices.
@ va_bank
Yes I read it and I know you were joking. I didn't say you felt that way. There are a lot of misguided Americans who feel that way and those are the people I'm referring to.
"America IS the World.
Everyone else is just renting space on this planet. The sooner everyone realizes it the better it is for them. Our promotional group is a bit tied up in the Middle East at the moment, but they are coming soon to a country near you."
As much as I love being an American, and love my country, it's this kind of arrogance that makes so much of the world hate us.
Gonna be a LOT of people spending time indoors this spring!
Can't wait.
I was partly being sarcastic, but...
Regardless of what platform a game is released on, I don't cry on an internet site if it isn't released on my preferred platform.
Businesses make products to generate a profit. It's their decision what platform to distribute said product on. No one is "owed" anything just because they have supported a particular company, business, product, etc. for any period of time. The only thing that is owed to a consumer is a qualit...
This game just keeps looking better and better.
Glad they're taking a more realistic approach this time. The "cartoony" feel of previous games has lost it's luster.
Exactly what i've been saying for a long time.
