I feel their reasoning is often sound, it's the method that sometimes baffles.
Woah, joeorc great posts. Hope you are writing somewhere. :)
But sometimes it's those game you wouldn't/didn't buy that turn out to be the gems. Muramasa for instance.
Don't starve was good too. All in all not bad for a 6 month old console. It would have been easier to give it nothing!
I know. The wait continues.....
It's bonkers isn't it? Everyone HATED that game, and yet....and yet.....
Glad to see some good comments, was slightly worried after reading the Gamespot review.
Good to see Rayman back in the top ten also. Great to see 2D platformers doing so well.
I can't wait to play it. Not a bad performance considering the install base etc.
It's sooooo slow, tortuous. Imagine getting the Wii U or 3DS at Christmas. The release list since then has been pitiful.
Lol very true. But a whole lot more too I feel.
I would go for
Mario 64
Pac Man
Tetris
Halo
Minecraft
Mario 64 would probably be first on the list for me.
Fair point. And I would agree with you. Hard task though, it would be different for everyone.
Sadly, too true.
lol :) Not a bad list!
Crumbs that looks doesn't it? Really can't wait. :)
I wouldn't want Nintendo's A teams to focus on re-releases, but the guys who did Ocarina etc, why not?
To be clear I am not suggesting that this is a bad thing. More releases like Wind Waker (made with the right amount of care) can only be a good thing in terms of building up the Wii U library and reminding people by Nintendo's games are so damn good.
I am excited by the possibilities too. But apart from a visual point of view I can't see the difference in cross-gen titles.
Fundamental gameplay mechanics have to scale up., not down. Whatever the wallpaper the likes of AC4 and WatchDogs will play the same on every system.
That said, the possibilities are mouthwatering, I just don't think this year will be the year we see the difference.
thanks for the comment! Nice to get a well arg...
Playing MK8 feels a world away from those early WiFi Connection games.
