I'm not sure it will be a gimmick this gen, I think Microsoft are finally leading the Kinect in the right direction. In the previous gen it was forced in for Kinect only shovel ware games but since it is now bundled in with the XBONE, developers can use the Kinect as how they please, whether or not they have to use it is their choice. Changing the key gaming environment from a triangle scheme (console, TV, controller) to a quad type scheme (console, TV, controller, Kinect).
Really, you can tell a military shooter is running out of ideas when they result to this .__.
Why don't they just go and do a call of duty alien shooter?

It can't be a standard yet and shouldn't.
We haven't got to the point yet where all cheap hardware can run all games +60fps. Sure some games have 60fps now but new games further on down the line will drop frame rates to increase visuals.
Developers like all the previous generations before will have to decided on the fine line between visuals and framerate.
If you think it's only MS then you are going to get a shock down the line.

I have always thought that Origins was just a fill game by WB before Rocksteady release a next gen arkham game.

Each franchise holds there own, different stories and gameplay.
I believe video games that have happy endings never have a lasting effect. When you've watched a film with a sad ending you will remember it more as it leaves a more emotional impact.

Very logical outcome: Killzone is an established franchise and is a well known Playstation exclusive.
Dead Rising is also an established franchise, but due to the game being a platform exclusive to the XONE it's fanbase will have been cut by roughly 3-4 due to the other platforms being removed.
