the Fat Guy from NES Hockey. that guy had a monster slap shot!!
all this article says to me is that game publishers, like EA, will never again miss an opportunity to rush out some half-assed, piece of garbage to coincide with a movie's opening day. it doesn't matter if the game is good, or even works for that matter - the average consumer WILL buy it regardless... and EA will profit.
never buy movie-in games
and this guy didn't even bother trying to distinguish the two... aside from the link to a Ripten article.
and this Facebook analogy is way out of left field... i guess i missed all the ads on PSN.
well... at least "JoGamer" appears to be a pretty big fan of himself. there was about 1min of credits in a 2min video.
i love the 10sec still shot of his eyebrows - quite the narcissist!
thats exactly what i started doing. and over the past year, this has happened at least three times.
what kills me is they never ask if i'm okay with it - they just say "one left, let me wrap this up for you..." but when i see them open the case, i then ask for a new one. he informs me this is "new" and the sticker says its "new". no thanks. without fail, they ALWAYS give some kind of attitude when i walk out.
the fact is, one of...
THIS is hand-down the biggest (and probably only) problem i have with them. i'm not positive, but i'd be willing to bet that one or two of the employees took home this "new" game to try it out.
and their in-store shrink-wrapping policy is complete joke. if you return a factory-sealed brand new game without a GameStop receipt, they give you a used game price. fine, thats understandable - but don't sell me some Saran-Wrapped used game to me and expect full price!!
very well written review.
i, too, have been on the fence with this game since it came out, and your review just pushed me over. i'll be grabbing this game for the weekend!
the demo was nice, but its great to hear how deep the game is - thanks for putting together a nice comprehensive write-up.
actually, if you replace Wii with PS2 - the graphs shows that the PS3 sales-from-launch is EXACTLY on pace with that of the PS2:

Here's to hoping for continued successs!

ah... didn't Guitar Hero all but ruin the career of Detriot pitcher Joel Zumaya??
totally agree. i have no problem with MS exploiting, er.... yeah, "exploiting", cheap labor - who doesn't do that.
all i'm saying is that i don't think anyone should feel a "patriotic" incentive to purchase an Xbox just because MS is an American company.
um, last time i checked, the 360 is made in China... how is it "patriotic" for Americans to buy Chinese products?
its definitely Sony's website.
here's the link to their privacy rights policy in the same domain:

This "Wii fit girl" viral video reeks of NINTENDO AD AGENCY!! Call me a cynic, but this video was probably produced by Nintendo and I'm SURE Nintendo PR had a hand in getting this girl on MTV!
but hey, it works!!
[and nice can!!]
and by the way, that's not "the media" you're quoting - that's his brother.
hasn't Ubisoft learned its lesson about over-hyping games!?!
i was very surprised how he glossed over the entire multiplayer aspect of the game - yet decided to get critical on things like, say, the CAR HORN AUDIO!?! yeah, that'll knock the sound score down to 5.0!
but the review is very disappointing and i've always respected IGN's reviews.... so, i'm still grabbing it tomorrow and hope to enjoy the game online despite IGN. if the co-op/multiplayer turns out to be good times, IGN will lose some reliability on my end.

didn't EA implement the "locker room" feature to cut-out this indirect profit to 3rd parties??
if EA can't money off of it - NO ONE CAN!
