I just find it hard to respect the guy.
Gears is an amazing game, and he has the eye of a fantastic designer with crazy cool concepts.
but the reason why this latest statement bugs me is that he needs to EXPAND his interests.
I wrote this some time ago, and it applies perfectly to my comment:
Nintendo hasn't grown up.
They are trying to sell us things we don't even want, but god forbid, fans of the N have faith in something that runs into walls every 3 seconds. They stick with localized play (no online until Wii, gamecube doesn't count folks, 2 games or less that you can play, wow) I forgive them for that. Weird power cords and peripherals (they can't just follow the crowd?). 1st party title...
has anybody gone onto bungie.net
and checked his game history, he sucks.
the only reason Wiis are selling well is due to the people stupid enough to buy them.
I can see the (vague) attraction to it, it's white, it's new, it's gimmicky, and it's Nintendo.
But after buying the gamecube, and finding considerable dissapointement in overall games, I am happy that I didn't make the same mistake so many others did.
I'll probably get nintendo's next console when they make a new IP.
Mario has always been the centerfol...
MGS4, Shadow of the colossus, zelda, bioshock (some stuff was downright depressing) of course Half life2,
hell, I think I shed a lonesome tear in animal crossing for Christ sakes.
I thought people already knew about the sequel, (well, actually, it's supposed to be a prequel to the original). This one is to be all about Rapture BEFORE all the corruption and chaos. I remember reading about it a long time ago, too.
Great trailer.
a certain individual, dedicated, and talented, drew some concept art for the game, just a normal gamer, and has been picked up by 2k, (their interested in his work)
here's the page
Oh well, this game does indeed look sick though.
you know that when you make this, two things are assumed:
1) everyone will RROD 24/7
2) the power supply will be the same size
I love this kind of trailer, just so cool, and "artsy-fartsy".
The street with the car and such look neat.
But when I saw "halo 3" flashed at the end, my heart sank.
Eh....
maybe I am the only one, but I feel like Halo has gotten old by now.
If I have to hear Master Chief, I might slit someone's throat.
Oh, I also found it both funny and interesting that the buildings and the street scene looked EXACTLY like hal...
Most wanted and Underground were great.
Most wanted sticks out in my mind, (I remember my bad ass car).
That "gameplay" footage was in extremely poor taste.
when the car crashes through a window or something, it looked absolutely atrocious. Almost last gen.
But I agree with you guys about NFS.
If they made a more refined Most wanted, taking cues from Midnight Club and GRID (as for the overall GUI display, which I loved) they'd be on t...
I think the game looked great before the beast was involved. You see, when they throw that in there, they slowly forget what made sonic great. Although this game look rather promising, let's hope they keep this simple equation in mind.
Sonic=Speed
someone disagreed with me, but...seriously.
can someone please challenge my question?
when I first heard of Gamecock, I was excited, because it was supposed to be the "indie undertaking" of the game industry.
Just look at Braid, and you can see how indie games provide something new and not so damned bloated as other games. *cough* halo *cough*.
Gamecock has to get their act together though.
Man, I didn't know Turning point was one of their games though,
that was such a half baked game with a rather need idea behind it.
I have a ps3 and 360, and this might sound like a start of a flame war.
but where are the ps3 RPG's?
wasn't playstation the big Role Playing fanatic?
I think this game looks rather impressive.
So what if the graphics aren't mind blowing,
after watching video after video on IGN, I actually am excited to see how this turns out.
I think the art direction is fantastic, and the overall theme is nice and refreshing.
I must be one of three people that actually think that this game has potential....
either I'm an idiot, or I don't know what the big "OHH MER GOSH!!1!!" is?

demo got to me, I can see how people CAN like it, But yeah, it's not my cup of tea. Great quality though, graphics were nice!
a nice addition to PSN, indeed.
who keeps disagreeing with me?
Is there some secret clan out there who clicks disagree for the thrill? or is there something I'm not getting?
Oh god, Mario. Zelda.
If I have to hear that one more time, I might toss my cookies.
has anybody here played the demo?
I thought it was friggin great.
Graphics nice.
Game has a new maps, modes, weapons.
AND it's just like COD4.
So what if too much hasn't changed.
game is worth it.
My favorite thing about it was definitely the use of dogs.
