We have not seen the true power of this engine, with PS4 will be able to see what it's truly capable of. Think guys, open world games with uncharted graphics, even better linear graphics, more memory for improved ai, physics, etc which are already pretty good on the ps3.
Yeah, my house got broken into in 07, they stole my 360, all the chicken out the freezer, and some of my clothes. Kinda had an idea of who they were on the account of all the chicken missing, and I was right. Stereotypes help in some situations. How they got caught is they robbed about 7 other houses in the neighborhood, and took a phone that had gps tracking on it. So I got the 360 back.
Maybe if they take a loss and price it at 200, free multiplayer, a bunch of core exclusives, have their own Internet TV that's competitive with cable companies for the price of xbox live gold. Then yes I could see the console dominate but as it stands none of that is likely to happen.
@Shory, why can't you compare them? The DS is the 2nd all time selling gaming platform, and the Game Boy is right there behind it.
Blu rays don't really get scratches...or at least it's hard for them to get scratches. You'd have to take a knife to one, hard or put it on concrete and use the discs like skates.
If it were up to any core gamer, it's safe to assume that they'd want some EXCLUSIVE CORE GAMES that would entice him/her into buying that console, something the 360 skimped on in quality/quantity, that along with pay to play multiplayer is a big reason why xbox isn't welcomed around these parts. They can change this with "the one" but I mean cmon now, you can't help but look at the past.
I don't see why PS4 can't be cheaper than xbox one. You have to add on 60$ for live and the price for kinect. And Sony usually takes an initial loss on their consoles.

The Xbone isn't an actual cable box is it... You have to plug it into a cable box to take advantage of the TV features correct? So basically there's no point in the TV integration....at all. I'd be all for it if it were an actual cable box/ game system where you pay 60$ a year and you get all the channels cable companies get. That'd be a deal...but I don't think Microsoft is that generous nor do they have that set up.
Having robust multimedia features is a great thing! As long as you have EXCLUSIVES AND YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY A FEE TO UNLOCK SAID MULTIMEDIA FEATURES.
I've never seen block buster sell consoles in any of their stores ... Then again all of them within miles have closed down the past 5 years. I'm guessing the numbers might be in the low thousands.
Even if true, too bad I've never seen a 1st party xbox dev deliver a game on Sonys level, too bad you have to pay to play multiplayer or use any of the apps, too bad you have to pay a fee for used games,too bad if your Internet gets disconnected you won't be able to play games, too bad you can't lend to your friends/resell games, I mean that's too many too bads to defend the console really.

Idk about you guys but I'll be happy with native 720p @60fps, with good up scaling you won't be able to tell the difference.

The burning hate inside me towards the Xbone has subsided a bit. I understand why they're doing what they're doing now...not sure why they couldn't speak on their intentions during the reveal though. This could turn out to be great. Now all they have to do is show a bunch of great core exclusives and I'm in.
I can't wait to see these so called 15 exclusives...lol. Why did they even throw that out there if they didn't even elaborate on it a bit more by saying x amount of core, x amount of kinect/indie/ x amount of timed? Or at least show some snippets...I'd be surprised if they have more than 2 actual core exclusives THAT ARNT GENERIC SHOOTERS OR RACERS.
Those batteries last (still haven't had a dual shock go bad on me all gen) even if they do all you have to do is take the controller apart and replace the battery, which can be found on eBay for under 10 bucks.
