You're right if his name wasn't attached people probably would look at it and laugh it off completely as a pathetic attempt to get in on the BR genre, but because his name is attached perhaps people expect more from someone with his credentials and when you have an admitted failure like Law Breakers and then you turn around and show people this it just doesn't bode well. For the record the disdain for him isn't misplaced at all, he's brought all of it on himself.

I've played Hellblade and Heavenly Sword and I can honestly say Hellbalde is a fantastic game and everyone should play it but it does not have better combat than Heavenly Sword, but it doesn't need to as that's really not what the game is about.
