This is what video games ARE people! Take ANY fps, the entire game is "go here kill people, move on to next checkpoint", same for literally every other genre of games... Mario has been walk to the right jump over or on enemies, slide down flagpole... Same shit since the 80's, yet those games gets glowing reviews....
