Two different 3rd party publishers, your argument doesn't make sense at all.
^Yep, I'm not happy about it but I welcome this delay nonetheless. I want Bloodborne to be a worthy Demon's Souls successor and February is packed with good stuff already, now I can enjoy The Witcher and Dying Light without rushing them. After that there should even be enough time for The Order:1886.
I think that some failures are excusable but this case crossed the line. AC is a yearly franchise, they had a complete foundation for Unity and they didn't even surpass that by much. Yet the game is plagued by bad performance and glitches that even previous entries already had. Then Ubisoft made some stupid comments about Shadow of Mordor and console parity while simultaneously releasing 3 AC games within a few weeks. And let's not forger Watch Dogs... they really messed up this year....
Yep I wouldn't recommend buying AC this year. With that money, you would support
franchise annualization
lazy game design
bad technical performance
bad business practises
lame excuses for parity (where was parity last gen?)
I'm so glad Dragon Age turned out amazing so my money goes to EA - give credit where credit is due.
Pretty harsh words:
"It's not just that these problems exist. It's that every Assassin's Creed game has had them for so long that I can't remember not dealing with them. And while each Assassin's Creed has moved farther away from the core of the series, ... Unity's re-narrowed focus on a single city and vertical traversal makes these navigation problems even less acceptable. Unity relies the most on its basic mechanics than any game in the series ...
If you think it's useless to be at 1080p a year before release then you have no idea how software development works. They most certainly tried running it at 1080p but it didn't run good enoigh.
Judging by how last gen turned out and how the future looks like, PS4 + PC + WiiU is the most rational choice this gen.
I can't even imagine what kind of broken person stands behind this comment 😁
You'll probably go back to 1080p/75fps in a few weeks just like I did. 4k looks great but it's not yet worth it, especially with all these bad console ports. GTA5 might be the first game optimized for 4k.
It has gotten ridiculous indeed.
lol seriously?
The Last of Us
Journey
Uncharted
God of War 3
Demon's Souls
Little Big Planet
MGs4 (still exclusive)
Ni No Kuni
Heavy Rain
InFamous
There's tons of good exclusives on ps3 and there are lots of good exclusives announced for ps4, you're trolling.
You'll definately die more often than in your games :P
I want that Saw Cleaver though :/
Both haven't been cancelled officialy.
2016
It has not been cancelled.
From the first day it was said that physical copies don't have DRM, only digital ones. At first Microsoft tried to force DRM onto physical copies as well.
This is actually true, it didn't even need an overpaid "analyst" to predict it.
@No_Limit
"On the XB1 side, Halo 5, Fable Legends, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Quantum Break are the known games that are coming out."
Halo 5 - Uncharted 4 (Action)
Fable Legens - Bloodborne (RPG)
Quantum Break - The Order:1886 (Adventure)
Tomb Raider - No Man's Sky (3rd Party)
I know which side I prefer but I hope you'll enjoy yours ;)
This actually drops my anticipation for ME4 significantly.
It's a clickbait article.
But there is no way Microsoft can turn this around, it was clear that the PS4 will dominate before the generation even started but I never expected such a big gap from the start where both systems still have similar libraries. Now that they are starting to diversify it doesn't feel like Microsoft has enough to keep up the excitement for the Xbox One while Sony is preparing for a huge 2015.
60fps + cinematic effects like Motion Blur and Depth of Field are the way to go. 30fps needs to be optimized very good to be acceptable - AC Unity fails at that.
