Not a lot of detail in the review to justify the score. Apart from detailing the number of slashes required to kill marines he just thinks it sucks. Personal opinion I guess but back up some claims.

In one of the previews they talked about having lots of scary parts but also mixing in more standard action for variety. That's not too bad I guess. I think they got the ammo / money system pretty much spot on with the first game. There is not a lot I'd change to the mood though either. They'll probably need to try even harder to make it as scary though.
Review pressure and many gamers want multiplayer. Since gaming is often broke down into how much value a product has putting multiplayer in a title almost eliminates that problem.
Pretty weak, I guess it wasn't premeditated but doesn't seem to match the crime.
Dragon Age DLC must have sold well. Otherwise they'd reconsider the release schedule.
I heard not many people played TF2 on Xbox Live compared to PC. What about Left 4 Dead 2, and even back last year L4D?
BF2, BF2142 have all had private dedicated servers. They are still dedicated and have all the advantages that go along with that.
The article header is misleading. There will be dedicated servers but they won't be available for free to anybody.
It's just Microsoft hyping the game so people who are a little bit dim think it's something new and impressive. I doubt Remedy would be talking all this crap

Must admit I haven't been following garage games at all so I didn't know the details about Legions and Play Tribes.
Tribes 2 was not nearly as bad as some of the reception it got from hardcore fans, it was much better than vengeance. As a old frequent forum member at tribalwar I had the chance to see some of the devs talking about things.

You get a patch that comes out four months after release and fixes a few of the many bugs in the sad multiplayer. I doubt anybody is playing this online anymore. Nice work Activision.

even on PC virtually nobody is playing it. Kudos to timegate for still supporting it. I guess I'm surprised they haven't been fired or moved onto another project.
a collection of all the ads would be pretty sweet, the game looks dumb though.
The "generic" parts were designed to be just that. 9 out of 10 times you put in some complex story with some unique ideas and it goes over most people's heads and is completely lost and then most people will be saying how confusing the story was... Why not have a story that's simple, effective and captures almost all the audience?
