True, true. Still an unbelievable number of sales though.
^ What online game doesn't experience all of these things from time to time? I'm not defending the series by any means, but just it's successful doesn't mean that it's immune to all the problems that almost all online games encounter. Even Halo has a tendency to bug out from time to time.
Agreed. I've played each COD since Modern Warfare, but Black Ops II's reviews and gameplay have me thinking this might be the first one I actually purchase. It looks fun.
I will say this happens every year with the "if you thought ___ was good, wait until ___" articles.
I'm still enjoying some great games from this year - let's bide our time wisely. :-)
To be honest, I might even consider buying this version of the game. It adds an entirely new dynamic by allowing you to control your squadmates, and the gamepad adds validity to my desire to play through again.
It just looks fun, and the included DLC makes it seem worthwhile.
^ True, but total gross wouldn't be impacted by individual return.
That's one billion, five hundred million dollars if each copy sells for $60.
O_O
"The first Dragonborn from ages past ruled over the island of Solstheim, which lies to the North East of Skyrim."
From the Elder Scrolls Wiki. That would make sense given that he's the antagonist; however, don't rule out Morrowind. It could be this homeland originated Morrowind culture.
Just a thought.
Morrowind? Where? In the trailer? From what I can tell, it looks like a brand new area set on an island north of Skyrim...
Watches HellFeast gather money from floor
Ambushes HellFeast outside home
Takes life savings
Buys PS3 copy of Skyrim
Checks on HellFeast in hospital (it's not personal)
Goes home
Puts disc in PS3
NOTHING HAPPENS!
^^ Yes.
Exactly. Showing an inability to continue living without the trailer says more about how disconnected these people are with reality than anything else.
They're being denied their escapism, and it hurts that life may have to be continued living as normal.
That's exactly right, though I wouldn't phrase it quite that way. It's sad really.
Haha it's just a little commentary on how we can be so in arms for something like a trailer. It's coming, and we can be patient. Especially in light of what's happened with the Hurricane.
It'll be the Dragonborn DLC we've been hearing about for some time... though I'm hoping that we get to return to Morrowind.
Agreed. And maybe for the first time ever. :-)
Love this game. Well said, though I would argue that the difficulty, though a turn-off to new players, is what makes it unique.
But maybe that's just me. :-)
"That this obvious forgery has managed to gain as much traction as it has points out the volatility of game journalism's reputation in the regards of gamers, and why we need to start doing more to win back their trust, assuming we ever had it in the first place."
Exactly.
More Emma Stone is always a good thing. Always.
7/10? The review seems more generous than that, though his complaints sound valid enough.
