And I don't think these are the actually numbers as don't forget that 600,000-1mil were banned from live so I guess they were sold but are not fully countable.
I still have a 1001 that works fine. I have a carry case where I can fit 4 UMDs and 1 in the psp itself. I don't like the idea of DD for the simple fact just about any UMD I can go buy for half the price of the game on the PS store and lend it to my friends or sell it if I don't use it anymore. I guess it is a matter of personal choice.

I didn't say it was legal to share games with friends. I said you can. If I go to my Brother inlaws house and sign in on my account I can Download all the software I have bought and play all I want. If my Bro tries to play any full DLC on his account when I get to my house I will get the 24hr wait notice. But if he signs onto my account he can play them and when I sign on to mine there will be no 24hr wait notice.
It might be an insane software attach rate but when you have 13yr old kids crying to mommy and daddy for the next COD like shooter and mommy/daddy don't really care for their kids like a lot of parents these days they will buy them anything to keep them entertained.
I didn't know that this Generation of Consoles was over already Halo? I don't think it is going to end any time soon but if you want to consider the ps3 a failure I guess that is your choice but then the 360 has to be just as a big of a failure.

Halo your facts are true but twisted. You forget to mention that Sony released the PS3 a year behind the 360 and the 360s lead was 8-9mill and last we knew it was only 5-6mil. Yes the 360 is ahead but only because of those 365 days head start.

People are allowed to share but they have to use the same account. You can not longer have a friend download the game to your system and then play that software on your account. If you do then your friend has to wait 24hrs to be able to play the software on his system.

MGS Peace Walker 2 on ps3 exclusively now we know it isn't gonna happen that way. HHguesser is wrong 90% of the time just like patcher. Only difference is that Patcher convinced stupid people to pay him for guessing.

If they add DRM to console games why will anyone get a console then as it will be the same as getting a PC but with a PC you have more options. They only thing Devs can hope to prevent downloading of games illegally is to have a First time Buyer reward but that right there will not stop people from pirating games. I don't buy games from devs/publishers that Cut content from the disc and then resell it as DLC so if the trend of this Gen continues I guess next gen there is 1 less gamer.

The only problem with all these people leaving IW is that Activision is still the holder of the COD IP. So where they go will not have any say in a COD game and they will be watched if they all go to West/Zampela new EA studio as if there is anything to come close to a COD style FPS Activison will sue for likeness infringement and theft of IP.
With the way sony has back peddled on Backwards Comparability and Other OS I wouldn't doubt it if we see the PSN charge plans at E3.
