Try not to drool? Way to oversell. I am a fan of the franchise, but the person playing in those "leaked videos" is a tool. They barely even use the new features.
TBH, its much more like watching a demo of Gears 1. If I didn't see the use of the meat shield in the first 10 seconds I would totally pass this off as BS.
Look, no one is saying the demo won't be great. They are simply reporting that some people on the 2k forums are threatening or claiming to be dropping preorders over a pixelated texture they saw in the demo.
Yes this seems silly, but they apparently saw it and thought that the entire game would be crap because of one texture. The community manager responded and the site found it worthy of reporting. That is not being a fanboy.

Surely they will fix the texture. It is not a reason to not buy the game. Kudos to them for being open and admitting their mistake and stating their intention to fix it. What more can we ask?

I am actually pretty excited about this game. I grew up playing the original so this brings back lots of memories.
why so much hate?
So lets say it is politics by Mark. Wouldn't you agree that if there was more upside he would be less political and put for the effort needed to make the PC version? If that is the case then maybe it is a piracy issue more than anything.
This is true, but Mark implies that they worked on the two in tandem the first time around, and being that I am not qualified to doubt that, maybe they did.
I know alot of us think you can just flip a switch once a game is complete and port it over, but maybe it isnt that simple.
I am pretty sure all the writers at ripten wear official badges that say "press". That makes them professional press. I think they even wear hats that say "my word is gold".
I am on my third 360. I won't buy another. I don't care if they coat it in chocolate and add a BJ hole.
