You could find people who look enough like your character to do the job. Nathan Fillion as mentioned would be perfect. As for the tech argument, it is obvious that what they have "in the house" isnt good enough to match the tech rockstar made. They want to reject it to save a few bucks and that will hur their game in the animations department. Now that LA Noire is out and a proven success with the new technology, other games will be forced to follow it in time.
Most devs are rejecting the idea simply because
1.They didnt think of it
2.They want to cut corners and pinch pennies in every way they can

It was a problem with PSP because it lacked a right analog stick thus making every ps2 to psp game inferior. That problem has been solved here and I expect a lot of ports to come to NGP because of it.
Oh im not saying you need to have strip clubs to make a free roam game good. Im just saying in the transportation department, the game is lacking a little. He cant steal cars or even fly (which he could do. Check out static shock and see how he flies). He is limited to running across the city or gliding on wires. Xbox 360 used up its potential a while ago and needs a new console. Ps3 hasnt even come close to its potential because only one game (MGS4) has used a Dual layer blu ray disc. Sony could keep ps3 going for a long time because of this. Nintendo needed a new console in 2008.
If MW3 fails, I think it will be the end of Call of Duty topping the sales charts after this. Call of Duty has always been a great series but I dont think it would be making sales records when it comes out. Thats where most of the hate comes from. That and hackable servers of course.

The reason I didnt buy it myself (saw the whole game at a friends house) was because it was too limited for a free roam game. A huge city that all you can do is run through makes the game pretty slow. It would be more acessible if he could fly like static stock does. Now that its free ill get it for the easy platinum though.
This game, Kingdom Hearts and True Crime are the only games left that I have been waiting for interms of a ps2 game getting a next gen update. True Crime is off the lis and KH has had its head up its ass this whole generation so Hitman is really up there on my list now. I hope they go back to the dark style of Contracts to some extent. 47s dreams were so eerie and set a great tone for the game.

You are saying because of patches games are bad? MAybe you are the one who is too young to remember last generation. If a game had freezing issues or texture loading issues it STAYED that way. There were no patches to fix it. The only way to fix it was to wait for an improved version of the game to come out and buy it. Does that seem more efficient to you? Even the best game have minor bugs in them but at least we have ways to fix them pretty fast now and with no cost to you at all.
