Rushing into the next gen isnt a good idea. We needed it last time but the rush cost us big time with broken consoles and long waits for good games. Now is the time to just ease into the next generation and enjoy the console we have now for the next year or two.

This game has been like watching someone take a dump...for 14 years.
You see this is the trap that even professional reviewers seem to fall into these days. You cant compare this to Heavy Rain; You cant even compare it to similar open world games. Overhyping always leads to disappointment. I expect Skyrim to be like Oblivion but with better graphics and nothing more. Anyone expecting God in a disc is going to be in for some disappointment.

No they arent. It doesnt take a lot of brains to organize a DDOS attack. You just need a lot of willing sheep to overload the server for you. Anonymous is in no shortage of people.

1 billion dollars of damage is never good for any business. You can twist that statement all you want but it doesnt change anything. RROD is worse than the hack by a longshot so MS has no right to say anything.
In order to be next gen you have to up to stadards with technology of today not the technology of yesterday. That something nintendo almost never does to appeal to the low income gamer otherwise known as "casuals" so you dont offend them.

That is what im thinking too but then we have uncharted, which took a record number of GOTY awards in 2009. LBP2 is also put together incredibly well and is worthy of being called a sequel. Its a hard choice even for me but I think skyrim will take it by a small majority then uncharted will take the second place. Skyrim looks like it is really pushing itself so it deserves recognition for that.

This is going to be a neck and neck battle for GOTY. All of these IPs have won at least once before. Cant wait for all of these games to be out at once. This is a gamers dream.
Yahtzee put it best. It 14 years to make an utterly genric FPS that could have been farted out in a year or two by a competent developer. Id put money on this games not being full price by the end of the month.
Its sort of a rebirth of those old games that didnt have auto save or checkpoints and if you died you had to start from the beginning of the level. Games do cradle us a little too much these days so its good for nostalgia and for people who really like to put in some effort because by god beating that game makes you feel good.
Judging from that one trailer where you had to walk across a needle thin floor, id say ill be shitting a few bricks playing this. October cant come fast enough!
Its amazing this great game is getting less attention thant Duke Sukem...er I mean Nukem.
