Not really when you consider the gap between the Wii U to the Wii was over 55 million units and the PS3 to the PS2 was over 30 million units by the end of their respective 3rd year in the market. Also, the Xbox 360 had a full first year advantage in 2006 when it was the only next gen console in the market at that time. Xbox One is doing fine under those circumstances. Scorpio and an expected price drop later this year of the Xbox One S unit will only help it more.
Xbox One is really doing great this year and this generation regardless of how some of you are trying to spin it. It was never going to sell well in places like Japan and mainland EU just like it's successors. Excatly!! There are only one mainline Halo and Gears games this gen on Xbox One. No different than PS4 having sequels to Uncharted, Killzone, infamous, God of Wars. All these sequels are popular IPs so of course we are going to get them once every few years. The trolls keep mentioning it is Gears, Halo every year are not making sense.

Ron Danger, there were at least 10 different XB1 skus vs 1 PS4 Pro Sku. Amazon counts each individual sku and not the entire platform. But in general, I think the PS4 Pro sold decently.

I still reserved judgement on Switch. Nintendo has burned me twice with the Wii and Wii U. It is all about the third party support. If they can get more AAA third party titles this time around, and the price is decent, I might get it.

Official price cut is a bit misleading. It is only a $20 temp price cut in several retailers for a week. I think it is to combat the $249.99 extended price cut of the PS4 Slim at Amazon, Target and several other retailers. Great deal for us all.
Already installed. The better news is all 4 disc are combined into a single 22gig download. So no disc swap require and only disc one is needed in the disc drive. This is the best BC for me.
