What is he talking about? It is a videogame and he decided to take away a major element of what makes a game great. Hopefully we can still get GT7 with the features that most GT fans expects in the near future.

When they said online focus, I didn't think things like buying a car, saving progress or even taking a picture needed online as well. This decision to lock simple gameplay fearures behind the internet is a headscratcher. Maybe PD can patch it and enabled these features offline after launch when they hear enough complaints from PS4 gamers.
Well the final game is out and offline saving is nowhere to be found.
There are only have a handful of reviews so far but this particular review looks to be the most insightful. It gives the game it's strong points as well as it's weaknesses in very detailed manner that are missing in the other reviews so far. I agreed with this particular reviewer.

Juat scrolling through n4G is not a good perimeter for reviews. Any avg Joe can submit a review and gets approve here and approval process can be manipulated based on bias and console preferences. There is a reason why Metacritic avg score is the standard in the industry.
Many are surprised because that recent egmnow and similiar news were never found on the front page of N4G. Heck, this news here might also not get approve and many N4G viewers will still be surprised to find out later on.
Also, news like this add in more details pertaining to the online and offline functions that were never mentioned in previous reports before launch. Such new informations like -- in order view or buy new cars, take photos of your vehicles in scenery mode, ...
Sony pride themselves on devlivering great single player experiences this generation from Uncharted 4, Horizon ZD, to the upcoming GOW4. But their biggest selling franchise, Gran Turismo, is made into an online focus game. I just don't get it.

F1 2017 and FM7 on console have the same Metacritic scores of 86. So yes, my statement of "highest reviewed console sim racing game this year" still holds true.
So which of the postives and negatives are untrue? I am just being honest here.
How about you put in the positives and negatives for game A and B. We can compare them to see which one of us are more legit and non-bias.

It has 10 reviews so far on Opencritic at sits at 78. Sounds more like unanimous 7-8 thus far.
And almost all the reviews is stating the lack of contents, lack of single player options, and have to always be online for progression and saving are major issues. People have legit reasons to state their concerns.
Even with internet connection, you still need PS Plus to play the game. Why PD didn't add in an offline single player career mode is beyond me.
The single player aspect of the game is as barebone as we were feared.
