Edit: There’s a lot of games the ff7 remake is influenced by: type 0 for real time character switching, 13 for stagger gauge, 12 for allied AI summons, crisis core for general movement of characters and enemies, 15 for the wait mode, and kh for hot keys.

I enjoyed my playthrough of p5 overall, but trying to replay the game is really hard. Didn’t have this issue with p3 and p4.
The game is just way too long for its own good. Dungeon times heavily padded out. The story has the same focus for tens of hours at a time before it presents real narrative beat changes.

You’re kidding right? This IS the franchise and developer angry knee jerk mobs exacerbate issues with.
RE3 is still its own game with its own feel. You're exploring the whole city without being secluded so much to one area. The Nemesis had a lot of non scripted segments where he could open doors and chase after you unlike the tyrant whom only originally appeared and stayed in a few select areas. The RE2R went further with non scripted tyrant segments though.
Just get it from google. No reason to pay money for it..although it may not be “dynamic” you’ll get the gist of it.
Wait for it...likely coming on the 3rd of march. Some select people had an opportunity to play 3.5 hours of FF7R and said they can't say anything until March 2nd.

Metacritic has always been garbage. If you're looking for a better aggregate anyways, use opencritic. No BS weighted scores from well known sites, and more reviews per game that are just as valid as any other site's opinions.

Well it isn’t turn based to begin with so I don’t see how they could be disappointed for that reason. Expectations are already in check unless they’re living under a rock.
He isn't directing the remake though. He's the producer. He was also the producer of the XIII trilogy, so let that sink in for a minute. In one video for lightning returns he was trying to play up the game but he came off as so high on his own supply I couldn't watch the whole self indulgent thing.
Up to, meaning unless it’s a truly big issue where MS could be sued, the tiers below that amount start at about a dollar and go down from there.

I see no reason to. I’m not ever rebuying any of Nintendos older games again. They don’t even offer a lot of titles like wwf no mercy on them.

It’s not all Xbox per se. The lack of games that I’m interested in certainly is one of the reasons. But my disdain is for MS. They’re at the head of publishing and acquisitions. They tried buying up exclusive Japanese titles last gen and did some of the same this gen as well. It didn’t end well for the Japanese developers.
The series has been getting free passes for its 3D iterations for way too long. There are so many double-edged designs between MM, WW, SS and BotW it's mind numbing how reviewers always tip the balance in any problem areas as fully positive when they don't give the same courtesy to other games.
