Probably more TPS games. I hear that one hasn't had much attention from them lately.
More specifically I would say JRPGs are progressive gratification. Basically like listening to prog music vs anything else which imo is the best. Even if a JRPG is all about the journey, generally speaking JRPGs keep getting better as opposed to other games which usually have their high points come in either too soon, or the best parts just aren't nearly as impactful.
Easily the FF7R. Nothing else had such a new and fresh but at the same time incredible gameplay system combined with amazing characters. There were so many standout moments or sections in the game. I can't think of a single section of a game I played in recent years that was as entertaining, hilarious and as exciting as Wall Market.
Comon community, it's frickin' Laura Bailey. Hate the game/character, not the actress.
Replay value, or rather a want to replay a game is very important. Something that usually doesn't get put in any reviews because reviewers are now moving on to another game to review.
"Just like, how reviewers were worried they would be blacklisted if they didn't give perfect scores to games like, Witcher 3, Zelda, Red dead redemption 2, Mario, GTA 5, Halo 2, Mass effect 2, God of war, The Last of Us, and more right?"
Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if there was more of this happening. I felt Nintendo games for instance in the last 20 years, while good overall have been getting a lot of free 9s and 10s despite making games that give ...
When I saw this at the top of n4g I actually thought they delayed the game again past Nov 19 >.<
You don't know the power of the darkside!
I haven’t played Replicant but in the first original Nier (self titled, not Replicant), Kaine’ is quite the looker with her outfit.
It’s not far from it. The concepts are very similar with a lot of mechanic similarities like the book magic taking the place of the pods gun fire. There are differences though like a magic gauge as opposed to a cool down when using abilities.
Gonna need more info
List looks varied at least. You can tell the Top FF whatever lists are almost always made by the 6, 9, 12 crowd.
Well we can do so. Just so long as Amazon ships FF7R and RE3 on release day.
By collectors edition does that only refer to the first class edition? What about the deluxe?
Bells, frogs, pink berries, hold my nose, I have to sneeze. Covid-19!!!
10 hours, damn! Really hoping for a new Nier game or at least news of a Nier remaster.
@Godmars290
Don't believe you only died once or twice. There's several fights that have a timer and you'd need to optimize your fight quickly without being lax otherwise it's game over. There's also a good number of boss fights from the half way point to the end that unless you looked at someone else playing you'd likely have died on the first try or been caught by surprise due to changes some bosses have.
@staticall
You can't put all enemies in stagger with just ravager though. If you only use ravagers the stagger gauge will go up, but then go back down quickly. To keep it from falling too fast while you build it up you had to use commando or saboteur. Plus you didn't always have access to 3 members. And some bosses had a time limit so you couldn't just sit idly by.
You sound like you’re complaining that the game was too hard, then try and pass off what you need to do to survive harder fights as not needed, like you’re ashamed it was hard for you but don’t want to admit it, Lol. No way in hell you or anybody beat this game without having to paradigm shift often.
Is this the first time they've done this? Because I don't recall hearing other games that have gotten review bombed to hell getting this privilege.
