I enjoyed both. I actually enjoyed TR more than UC4, at least so far anyways. I haven't beat UC4 yet. I also liked UC, UC2, and UC3 better than UC4 so far. Granted from what I've played of UC4 I've liked, but I think the earlier entries are better.
This game does look impressive. Hopefully it doesn't get dialed down too much before release. At least on the Scorpio and Pro they should be able to keep it cranked up.
I had no issues with the WiiU's strength, it was really just it's online structure, and 3rd party support. I guess the power issues go hand in hand, since 3rd party games that are on the more powerful systems seem to be incapable of running on the Wiiu. Then again PCs have the same games that run across so many configurations, even on old Athlon X2 cpus. This next Nintendo console just needs to really go after it on 3rd party support. Spend some of that $$ that Nintendo is sitti...
I think Phil has done a great job, but they really had no way to go but up, since they almost destroyed the brand prior to the launch , with the always online, no used game, etc. nonsense. Kenny Powers could've took over end it would have been a improvement. I do like Phil and he seems down to earth, and seems to interact with the fans more.
Much as I prefer AMD products, I'm surprised that neither Sony, nor Microsoft went with a stronger custom cpu for these next consoles. The i3 that is in my Alpha console performs outstanding and I can run GTAV with much higher settings on it, and it looks, and runs much better than my Xbox 1. Unless Microsoft goes with a Zen cpu, but that's doubtful. I also don't think we'll see a bottleneck in the ps4, mainly because of how optimized it will be.
@doywithshoes
I disagree with the comment about the ps1 and ps2 being inferior machines. They were actually superior at launch. The ps2 was a big step ahead of the Dreamcast and the ps1 was way ahead in terms of 3D versus my beloved Saturn . Now once the N64 came out it was technically better on paper. Then when the Xbox and GameCube Came Out the ps2 Was already A Juggernaut
They probably recommend a Sony 4k tv also.
"Final" nail in the coffin? I didn't know there were already a bunch of nails in it? It's not selling at the pace of the ps4, but that doesn't mean the brand isn't successful. Wow
Indeed. I bought a 48in Samsung 4k led, which supports HDR, and I'm hoping the Scorpio does have a UHD player, so I can start my UHD buying frenzy. If not , we'll I may grab a xbox 1 S. Just like when Sony helped introduce Bluray, it wasn't as popular. Granted streaming and digital have grown a lot since then, I still think there is a lot of people who like physical copies.
Well, It's A Beta, so at least they caught It during it.
But isn't Nintendo in the right here? Aren't they breaking the law by creating a game under a Nintendo license? Much as it may suck, I don't think Nintendo is doing anything wrong.
Not to mention special royalty rates Sony gave developers that Sega couldn't match, back in the Dreamcast days. It's really just about who has the most $$ to throw at these companies, to get the exclusive rights, or best deals.
That's not enough jiggabytes!!
I've experienced very few bugs and they weren't game breaking. Love this game
Yeah. Gran Turismo used to rule, but i think the torch has been passed to Forza. Not knocking GT at all, but i just think Forza has stepped in, and done what Gran Turismo did for the original playstation, for the 360, and never looked back.
Nice. We just got 300mbps internet, and it is awesome. You still only get maybe 100mbps wireless, so I hard lined my xbox1, but so far it's much better. It let my phone and my alpha console connect to the 5g wireless, but other devices weren't able. I didn't try the 360, so I'm not sure if it supports it. Good to see the new ps4 does
I concur
Not sure if I read that wrong, but he said if they go with the x1 Tegra chip it will boast ps3 type performance, but x2 will out perform current gen systems? He couldn't have meant x1 chip for ps3 type performance because The wiiu already does ps3 type performance, with a bit extra.
Hopefully I'll have my next pc built by the time this launches. Looks impressive. My current pc would go into cardiac arrest if I even attempted to boot this up.
Power does come into play sometimes. Saturn wasn't able to compete and the Dreamcast wasn't able to hold ground with the capabilities of the ps2. I agree about the games though.
