Microsoft doesn't look like it can catch up to "win" this console race. They can still be successful and competitive though. The Wiiu looks in bad shape. Hopefully Nintendo can pull it together.I have a xbox1 and Wiiu, and enjoy them both, and I plan on adding a ps4 in a few months, and I really hope all companies can be successful in this industry, so neither one bow out. I miss Sega, and hate to see any of these drop out of the hardware business.
Why wouldn't they expect a surge? Halo, a key exclusive, and also the holiday season. Both systems will surely see a surge. Xbox1 , while doing very well, needs it more than Sony.
Exactly Garrus
Yep
Never really cared for Angry Joe. Don't see what all the lore is with him. Now AVGN is great, but Angry Joe never interested me.
Just a very good, fun game. Deserves it's accolades. Sad that some fanboys jump up here to bash it. I think it deserves a sequel, and maybe a solid campaign, with maybe a coop campaign.
Got one. I just hate how much of these pc titles are broken at launch. Mainly the multiplat ones, but still it is becoming more abundant. Battlefield 4 really bothered me. Even in medium settings the game was unplayable. Frame rate spikes, bugs, crashes, etc. Decided to get it on Xbox 1, and it ran fine. Granted it was lower in quality , it still ran fine.
I prefer the Xbox brand over the Playstation brand, and to say this don't bother me would be a lie. It only slightly bothers me, but still would like to see my preferred console achieve the same performance. Maybe with dx12, maybe not, time will tell. So it's really going to come down to exclusives between the two imo. I plan on getting a ps4 later this year, but waiting just a little longer, until some more of their key titles release.
Isn't it in "alpha" stage? Isn't that the purpose of alpha testing? To fix the bugs? Now if it was near the end of the beta I'd be a little worried. Although I was very disappointed with the B4 bugfest, on pc. I still haven't played it over 20% on my pc, just decided to get it on Xbox1.
Exactly. Next up, Apple is gonna say Dx12 is crap.
Props to Sony. I grew up a Sega fanboy I guess, and picked up a Saturn, while my younger brother purchased a Playstation. I was envious of all the titles that flooded that system. Yeah I loved my Saturn, and still do, but Sony entered the market and dominated! If only Sega or Nintendo would've partnered with Sony for their disc system things may have been different. Both were approached by Sony, but opted to go a different direction. I'm sure they're kicking themselves for that ...
I know. I was being sarcastic about the whole buy Sony thing.
I'm liking the game so far. I think Avalanche Studios is a very good developer and it's showing so far. To each his own I guess.
I just use my phone. That way I can take it in the bathroom. Easier
It would be nice if they can get some success over there. They don't have to though to still be successful. Look at the Genesis/Mega drive. It did poorly in Japan, yet still gained over 50% market share. They need some more killer titles to move units. Just buy Sony and make sure to keep the name. Don't let them know it's a Microsoft product. Lol
I concur. They make it seem like it was almost a failure. I actually like the fact that they went in a different direction (hardware wise).Sony's development team got it right, and put out stellar titles. Heck, I'm more of a fan of Xbox, but ps3's exclusives looked better than what the 360's did.
Love the article. "Back from death.". Wtf. Ps3 sold well, even early on. First year was pretty dry, but once it got some key exclusive titles going it did well. Reminds me more of the Saturn. Complex hardware, and difficult to program for. Difference is Sony stayed with it.
@avengers1978
True. I actually prefer my 360 and xbox 1 mainly due to the controller, Live, and the type of exclusives they have. I still play my ps3, and want a ps4, but I prefer the xbox brand due to those things.
Looks like more and more 3rd party devs are getting games to hit 1080p on xbox 1. Nice to see. If this keeps going the only difference will be which has the better exclusives.
Me too. I turned my garage into a game room. Saturn, T16, GameCube, ps2, ps3, wiiu, Genesis, ps1, xbox, xbox360, snes, Dreamcast, and even a Jaguar. 32x also, but it's about as bad as the Jaguar. I have 3 leds in there. 1 40in, and 2 33in. Nothing fancy, but I have severel hooked to each tv, so me and the kids can game in there on weekends.
