Sounds sweet, no wonder it's been in development for so long.

FFVII- 40 hours
FFIX- 30-35 hours
FFX- 35 hours
FFXII- 60 hours
Still a straight purchase for me since I found the demo to be so awesome.
This is a fan service game for FF series fans. Judging from the review the reviewer doesn't seem like a fan of the whole FF series. Hes most likely just played VII or another and thats it.
Reasons why the PS3 version will outsell the 360 versions.
Exclusive in Japan
Outside of that these reasons.
-FF fans will know as it stands you can only get all 3 FF games on the PS3 (FFXIII, FFvsXIII, FFXIV)
-Many FF fans would have purchased a PS3 for the game before it went multiplat
-Playstation is always linked with Final Fantasy and it's a recognised brand on the system
-PS3 slim and lower price before the game rel...
The US release is going to be dumbed down because of the 360.

Lighting is awesome and they already said FFXIII is kinda like FFVI where there isn't really a main character and there will be large parts of the game where your party will be split up so you need to play as certain characters.
The pics I posted above are from the PLAYABLE DEMO. Not screenshots they released or from a trailer grab. They are actual screens from a playable version of the game. (A demo 275,000 people in Japan purchased in the first week and thousands of people imported so they would know what they're talking about)

Yes the trailer released with ACC in June BUT it's the Jump Festa 2008 trailer that was never released public. They said it themselves before ACC released thats the trailer they would be getting.
The image in question is a 2008 build of the game.

This article is WRONG. The worser looking image is from a 2008 trailer of the game so thats why it looks outdated. Compare it to a newer build of the game-

Include Japanese VA with the English release I would consider buying it.
Thankfully FFXIII has great voice acting and they're re-syncing mouth movements to fit the English VA so a Japanese VA isn't needed for that.
Graphics look amazing, this gives of an in-game CGI feel.

It's Gestalt mode and not driving mode, they said each summon has another form but Shiva is the only vehicle. The article was pretty sucky.
I used to be excited about White Knights Chronicles but alot of people say how bland the story is.
This game is shaping up to be epic and the graphics are amongst the best i've seen.
To be fair Persona games have tiny locations and each floor on the maps are just copy n paste. (That does't stop the series from being completely amazing)
Also it recycles alot of events over and over.
They said they're "aiming" for the 360 version to be on 3 dvd9's and they could easily find out later that it's not possible and they will need 4 discs or so.
Plus read the whole thing and they mention compressions so 3 dvd9's after compres...
