My opinion on the cast.
Lightning- seems badass, I wanna see what the FF team can pull of with a serious female lead and not a sing and dance game like Yuna in X-2. (+Lightnings pic in the article of her is awesome)
Snow- one of those characters you just don't know how he will be until you play the game for yourself. I like his design tho.
Hope-typical whiney kid like you get in most FF's/JRPG's.
Sahz- Portrayed as a joke character b...
Considering the game will span over 4 discs and require compression on all fronts then content wise it will be fine.
Next you will argue.... "teh 4 dvd9z doesn't = 1 blu-ray"
Uncharted 2 is only 24GB's out of a possible 50GB's a Blu-Ray can offer.
If a dev decided to make a game that will use a full 50 it would take countless more years to finish. The only reason MGS4 used 36GB's was because everything in the game was completely uncompres...

RPG's have stopped being text-based only games so they have to change the way they tell the story.
If FFIX had cutscenes like modern day games people would be screaming E-M-O over that as well.
Imagine how 'EMO' this scene would be from FFIX if it was re-done as a cutscene AND with voices....

Different characters.

Different music.
Different gameplay.
The whole game is different.
The only reason it's not called Final Fantasy XV is because it's an action JRPG and not a turn-based game like all the other FF's.

Nomura said in the last Famitsu issue that there will be a media and information blow out for VersusXIII very early next year.
No point hyping a game that will most likely release Winter 2010 or Spring 2011...especially considering XIII is yet to release.

You can tell Vanille is the typical JRPG high pitched voice girl.

Currently the PS3's install base is nowhere near the PS2's at the time FFX launched in Japan.
Thats the reason.
1.5mil in one week is still ******* crazy and many people won't even buy a PS3 until the game releases so basing sales of the games off it's current install base isn't the best thing to do either.

The playable footage they showed at Microsh*ts E3 conference looked ever so slightly better then the PS3 demo but thats mostly because it was a newer build.
The point I am trying to make is the game has been seen running on the 360 and it didn't look any worse.
I may be a PS3 fanboy but even I can agree the downgrade talk was complete BULL**** in the end.

I think he was just included in the demo so you could test out Shiva. Was pretty funny since he was in the battles but not in the cutscenes.

- Footage at TGS was for internal previewing purposes, so there's not actually a character that is shimmering white, it just didn't have textures. Behemoth was also displaying without textures.
