My bad, I just noticed I said Rumble pak by mistake, it is the expansion pak. :)
Don't be silly, PS4 will have more overall sales due to Japan and most of Europe but it will not crush MS because MS have deeper pocket to advertise the Xbox more, securing third party support, and are better suited to drop the price to compete if sales are lagging in the near future.
By your logic, a mid-90s Motorola Razer would also be better than a current Android or iPhone since cell phones are for talking. The Wii U is just a game console for traditional games, and it is not doing great right now because believe it or not, people outside of diehard gamers want their consoles to do multiple things and do them well. The days of tradition systems like the SNES and PS1 are long gone and wouldn't be accepted in today's environment. As we already seen with the PS3 a...
I based it on the fact that I have experience these networks on both PS3 and X360. IMO, Xbox Live is far superior than PSN and that is the network I play all my online games.
With the XB1 announcement of all games on dedicated servers and the fact that PSN now requires paywall to play online, I'll go with the trusted network if I am going to pay for one of them. Each person has their preference and if someone feels like the PSN network is better, then that is their opinio...
Doesn't matter, it is a matter of preference. I am getting a Xbox One first due to the early games and IMO a better online service in Live.
Forza 5, Dead Rising 5 and Killer Instinct are the games I wanted to play at launch.
Looks like MS will have more games to reveal with all those floor spaces reserved. Can't wait for it!
Man, I just started to think that there might be a possibility MS will make the XB1 into a PC as well if all Windows 8 Apps and cloud software like Office 365 also work with the One.
MS don't sell their own PCs or laptop so by having all the apps and cloud programs all tied up into the Windows ecosystem, then with smartglass to be used for apps that requires pinch and zoom features, I think that is a strong possibility. I think at Gamescom, we will learn more about such ...
Kinect 2.0 can track player in literally pitch dark lighting and calculating your hear rate, both of which wern't possible on the 1.0. Those two elements alone will make a great deal of difference for horror game potential. For example, the A.I sense your heart rate and will then determined your sense of urgency and will act accordingly. That is just one scenario and probably there will be more ideas to follow as developers now know Kinect is included in every XB1 sold and aren't afra...
@Geezus,
Don't forget the Emotion engine and Toy Story 2 graphics of the PS2.
Just look at this as the Rumble Pak for the N64. I can play Turok 2 without the rumble pak but the game really shines with the Rumble Pak.

Yes, $35 million for a huge electronic company that makes everything you had just said is just not cutting it. Samsung, also makes every electronics imaginable but also didn't have the added luxury of a movie studio and a gaming platform, did over $8 billion in Q2 of 2013. In comparison, Sony is just not cutting it. A single top movie Star makes almost as much in a single movie.
Actually the Sony TV department actually made a profit this quarter. It was their gaming department that lost $149 millions (the PS4 R&D contributed to that, but it is still a loss).
How is MS losing money when they are raking in $4.97 billion as a net income and revenue grew 10% netting $19.9 billion. Sure, itdidn't reach the expected $20.7 billion they were hoping to get, but $4.97 billion in profit is a success, nevertheless, much more than $35 million, I can tell ...
Just found it.
"This significant increase in loss was primarily due to an increase in research and development expenses related to the upcoming introduction of the PS4"
Like I had guessed, it is the R&D cost of the PS4. I am quit happy with the TV profit though as it is slowly turning around after the introduction of cheaper models to compete with the Koreans maker.
Wait, according to the article, the Gaming division suffered a $149 million loss this quarter while the TV division actually made a profit. Am I seeing it right? I would think it would be the other way around.

According to interview, the 15 exclusives is supposed to be internal developed games only, which means games like Titanfall, Dead Rising 3, and even Quantum break and Sunset Overdrive do not count.
"The executive noted that the company is planning to invest more than $1 billion for new content, including 15 internally developed titles in the coming year, eight of which will be brand new"

Forza 5. Highest rated racer of this generation. 1080p and 60fps, nuff said.
This will probably be my only racing game until Forza Horizon 2 comes out. Both of these racing series are great!
Moneyshot Studios? Former WWE star Val Venis must be proud.
Main reason why it wont blow jealous N4G Sony fans away : it's a Xbox One exclusive. FIXED!!
This is a Day One purchase for me. The # of Zombies on screen and an area that is several times larger than the last two DR games combined, sounds like the ultimate zombie frag fest at its best.
Xbox One will be successful just like the X360 and PS3 and PS4. Only fanboys are trying to downgrade it for obvious reasons. Dedicated servers, massive advertisements, money spent on exclusives, windows 8 ecosystem integration, and of course they have the money to absorb a price drop to compete, if needed in the near future.
