The Wii U is not dead.....yet but is very close. Just like the Gamecube, Nintendo's ignorance is what is killing them. They were lucky to strike gold with the Wii due to the casual were eating it up with a new fad known as motion control and Wii Fit and the Wii sold over 100 million units. The Wii U is a totally different story as the Wiimote Fad had already faded and at $350 with little third party support, power just barely more than than current gen, no direction for online gaming, it ...

The headline is not outlandish qualify enough to be worthy of being on N4G.
It should be retitled: "Square Enix Wants to Shoot a Lightning Arrow to the Knee of Skyrim"

Ramen noodle and bread and water until launch.

Yea Seaman, I remember that game that came with the microphone. The Japanese face was so creepy though. The Sega of old would have these niche games like Seaman, Space Channel, and Jet Set Radio that are so fun an unique back in the days. Sadly, these games don't really exist anymore.

1. Skies of Arcadia (Just like Panzer Dragoon Saga on Saturn, this game was a hidden masterpiece that few had played and one of the the best RPGs of that era)

2. Soul Calibur (One of the few games that have ever been so perfect in terms of graphics, speed, gameplay. Probably the best 3D fighting game of all time.)

3. Sonic Adventure (The last great Sonic game IMO. This is the definite Sonic game from Sega as to what Mario 64 is to Nintendo)

Great choice Darth, but I'll have to add in the Sega Saturn 6 button controller in-placed of the Genesis one. That controller was the king for 2D fighting games in its day. The D-Pad has yet to be surpassed.

Also, judging from the "Disagree" we are getting in a Xbox only article, you know the Xbox 1 goods news is getting into them. LOL

a small bump is still good no matter what. Also most importantly, that deflate the rumor of a GPU downgrade from 800mhz to 750mhz due to yield issue. It seems like everyday the XB1 news are getting better and better.

And seeing that 95%+ of N4G users are Sony fanboys like myself that will be using the PS4, I came here to troll another Xbox article to justify my brand of choice. FIXED

@rela82me
So true,

The Sony supporters will be here soon and make this like the second coming of Apocalypse just like the speed bump of the GPU that was just announced a few hours ago, "Oh, now, the RROD will return due to the increase Mhz". smh

" I'll be over here using my gaming console to play games"

I'll be using my system to play Forza 5, Dead rising 3, and Killer Instinct at launch, oh...and also monitor my heartbeat and to switch between TV, interacting with my NFL gameday, Windows 8 apps, and Skype.. :)

Unlikely? I think it is impossible as I don't see any Ring of Power on the front panel on the XB1. Seriously, just like the disc drive issue of the PS2, Sony corrected that issue with the PS3, so I am sure Xbox are spending big bucks to make sure the XB1 is well suited against the RROD fiasco. Heck, if you look at the size of the thing, there is a reason why it is the size of the Fat PS3 and has vent everywhere.

Sony fans trust Jonathan Blow. eyes rolled. Sorry, but I'll trust the likes of a living legend in this industry like Carmack than some guy that made only one successful Indie game thus far.

Agreed British Knight,

The only thing similar is the system architecture and specs of the systems but Sony has a long way to go before they can dream of getting anywhere close 300,000 servers and a seamless online experience like Live on PSN, and an cross-platform ecosystem implementation like Windows 8. In the end, MS is a software company and software experience goes a long way to provide a stable service to your platform. Just look at the PSN hacked in 2011, took Sony alm...

I am drinking an Orange Crush right now reading this old recycled article. What a joke N4G is becoming in getting these types of articles to start a flamewar. Have fun pounding your chest guys.

You are not new. Your user name and troll comments gave it away. What was your former banned account again?

I will get:
Forza 5 (racing)
Killer Instinct (fighting)
Ryse (action)
Dead Rising (Sandbox)
Battlefield 4 (FPS)

Before end of year:
Zoo Tycoon (I know, I know, but I can't resist a new Zoo Tycoon game, love the first two games on PC)
Project Spark

No wonder Sony is combining the Vita with the PSP on their quarterly report results. It is to hide the low sales figure.
I think outside of Japan, most of the world are satisfied with their smartphones and iPads for portable gaming and I don't think the PS4 is going to help much for increase sales of the VITA. Not at $250 and $40 for a game and expensive memory cards that is require.
