I dont think this article is accurate at the current moment. A price drop might catapult the migration, but based on games alone the $400 tag is no easy obstacle to overcome, specially if you have a 360 and satisfied with it (Many are). Multi platforms are coming like RE5 are enough reason to keep the 360 without a PS3 and be totally satisfied. I have both and like them both, and I think to get everything this generation has to offer u should get both.

If Gears went multiplat then even more gamers will enjoy the kick ass ride. If remains exclusive then MS can show off the 360 "longevity" and surely non PS3 owners will feel good. It would be interesting to see Epic release Gears 2 for the PS3, just to get a feedback from the market. Of course if is about money MS can write a very decent check to cover for the possible PS3 sales and is back to zero: Gears-only on X360

But the PS brand reported profit, so maybe the internal studios cost is very well covered. Besides selling 2 million in 6 months to a year is no pocket change, that is some serious profit.
Sony's argument is based on showing what the PS3 games can be if given the right attention. They are more than happy with multiple games selling 1.5 million in the first six months because that is profit. Since i got my RROD i made a 180 degree turn on the 360 and MS. I have nothing but praise for the 360 library, but the fcking hardware is too much to feel good about purchasing a 360. The Wi-Fi should be there out of the box, no excuse.

PS3 has only had one price cut, but nothing drastic. Imagine how much room for price drop is there at $400. If in 2 years the PS3 is at $200 (it should) and by then the game library will have everything fans want, the PS3 will sell a lot...
