Let me know when the Series X is gonna play Spider-Man 2 oh wait
Games. Matter. PlayStation has them. Microsoft hopefully will too.
At least with Microsoft I can play them on pc making my console purchase decision pretty easy.
But all the so called Xbox series x games for the first 2 years can be played on your Xbox one.
Or a decent gaming rig.
I don’t get all these pro hype series X articles as of late. Microsoft sure is acting like they don’t care where you play your games and are giving people a choice (which is nice). I like to think of myself as the average person in the “hardcore gamer category” and I can’t feel any hype for this thing. Hell many of my average hardcore ...
Really wonder how the vanilla Xbox one is gonna run this thing
With the amount of sales on the Xbox one X, especially with a limited edition console you would think these things aren’t truly that limited and Microsoft just flooded the stores with them.
I think Sony should be commended for its performance. Despite not having as many heavy hitting exclusives as say 2017 or 2018, 2019 was no slouch and if you just picked up a PS4 this year you really got some stellar gaming.
Xbox not so much. Though gears 5 was a bright spot albeit one riddled with micro transactions. Halo reach on MCC is a nice plus and I’m having fun playing invasion mode again :D.
Switch had a great year. Which is to be expected since...
Its affordable because it isn’t selling. Stock space for a store is a hot commodity. When i used to work at Best Buy we did the same for the ps3 and GameCube before that. The one benefit of the the new systems is their boxes are much more compact making space on the shelves much more sustainable.
Don’t blame GameStop, why keep these things clogged in the back. Just door em so new merch can come in.
Anything is better than that tv tv sports sports call of duty bs
The naming sounds like Microsoft is taking the console iterative with different series offering different performance (aka like Tesla). All in all I can’t be surprised they came out with their announcement. The dumpster fire that is the Xbox one has been getting piss poor public support compared to Sony’s now 6 year old PS4 and the firestorm that is the switch. It’s kind of like how the Wii U was sort of left in the wind after the the Switch’s name was announced in late 2016. I think the play...
I was at Best Buy yesterday and saw stacks of them sitting on the store floor. Mostly SAD but a fair number of S and ax’s too. Seems like most people are ignoring them just fine.
Meanwhile I can’t find a switch. And there were very few ps4s. The stigma is clear as day for the Xbox one. And it’s sad because it’s actually now a decent system.
Every week I see the vita sell about 20 something units. Wondering where people are finding them? Looking to find a new one to replace mine which has a weird WiFi disabling when the system goes into standby issue.
Ugh another live service. Battlefield 1 was the best battlefield. Why can’t they just do that again?!?
What’s impressive is that this was achieved without a sustained series of price cuts. The ps2, as this point in the gen went from 300 to 200 to 150 (correct me if I’m wrong). The ps3 went from 499/599 to 399/499 then 300 I think. PS4 only shaved off 100 and also added a sku at launch price in 2016.
Imagine the sales if Sony just dropped the price to 199
I think the article misses the point on why Xbox one sales faltered so much after launch. I don’t think it was 499 price alone that sank the ship. It was the fact that SO MANY 360 users (myself included here) were turned off by the initial reveal and that the PS4 was more powerful and this was well noted and discussed by the media. Microsoft had to basically convince people that the more expensive, less “friendly” system was worth its 500$ price. Yes they reversed on the DRM but most people k...
If I was an Xbox primary gamer then...no. Next gen needs to come. All those studios surely are working on something new for Scarlett hardware and I would like to see what they are doing. The Xbox one needs to be put out to pasture. I’m curious to see how Microsoft is going to carry out its mandate on “forwards compatibility” for 3rd party Scarlett games. But the Xbox one is a dying system and needs to go.
It’s quite the reverse on PS4. My backlog is tremendous in just pure...
People here all busting on Mattrick but are forgetting that when he ran the show the 360 had killer exclusives and deals to make it an awesome system. Sony is literary doing that for the PS4 and people are acting like it’s “new”
Or it could even be something unrelated to gaming entirely. People leave companies all the time. Some for good reasons. Some for other pursuits like getting poached. Some for sinister ones (ex inappropriate workplace conduct). I think people who are doom and gloom on Sony are more likely pro Xbox/anti PlayStation users that want to cast doubt on the next PlayStation.
There’s been 4 PlayStation console families and (forgive If I’m incorrect) essentially 6 total PlayStation ...
Question for anyone working in retail: how are these multiple editions of consoles handled. I used to work for EB games but that was a time when at most there was only 1-2 skus of a specific platform.
Now when I go to Best Buy I see multiple flavors of Xbox one x with various games, multiple Xbox one S bundles, the SAD edition bundle, PS4 vanilla, PS4 pro and occasionally special editions of PS4/pro that include a game.
What does a retailer do stock kee...
Show me the math on how they make their return on investment for gamepass subs.
I miss a toke when games came out and were essentially complete. That the game you bought was the game they wanted you to play. That...aside from bugs...you got the game that the developers wanted to make. And if anything was added afterwards...it was designed to augment the package (Ex new game plus, special events, expansion packs) or fix bugs that appear.
Today games are a service. Buy it and wait for the shit that comes out. Pay money now and wait for delivery. You wan...
Ps5 is a no brainer for most people. I think the series x is gonna have to a lot to win gamers over. This generation has just been lackluster for Microsoft. Can’t think of any year in which there was a first party Xbox game that was a “must play”
