Glad SOMEONE else recognized that. Man, that's just sad.
I think the visuals in Uncharted 1 were fantastic, and I actually prefer the style of it compared to Uncharted 2 & 3. Just my opinion.
It made me put it... so yeah... the gameplay ON it was great. ;)
What do pirates have to do with safety? Pirate =/= Malicious hacker.
Being a veteran of Sonic titles, so far I'm not impressed with Sonic CD, and just don't understand the hype. It's good, but it's nowhere near as good as many of the other titles in the series. I still see Sonic 3 & Knuckles as the pinnacle of Sonic goodness.
Year 2007
"It's cool man. Despite the high price of the PS3, I love it. But at least we can rest assured that Sony won't do something this stupid again..."
Year 2011
"How much are they charging for memory cards!? Crap... they did it again..."
Agreed. When I heard this, I though "Riiiiiiiiight". -_-
It's not. I'm a HUGE Uncharted fan, and this was possibly my most anticipated release this year, and yet I still only see it as an 8 or a 9 game, most definitely not a 10. Uncharted 1 & 2 were absolutely fantastic, but 3 had some really rough spots which knock the recommendation down a bit.
I waited literally 5 minutes for MW3 at Toys R Us. Got a free t-shirt and $15 gift card along with it, that's more than I can say for GameStop... #GameStopNotWorthIt
I give Uncharted 3 a solid 9/10.
Pros
-Brilliant production value
-Insane graphics/visuals (At times, photo-realistic)
-Satisfying action
-Playing as young Nathan Drake is INCREDIBLE, and could easily serve as it’s own game. He’s cocky, likeable, and a blast to play as.
-Modestly fun multiplayer
Cons
-Gunfights this time around are FAR too repetitive, and it feels like the game is just hurling hoards and hoards ...
Campaign, story, MP, everything. Uncharted 2 is far superior to 3. Normally I shoot through an Uncharted game several times, but once I beat 3, I sort of lost the desire to go back and play through again... >.<
Uncharted 3 was disappointing, while simultaneously being absolutely not disappointing. That may sound odd, but if you've beaten the game, then you know what I mean. Brilliant game, but there were undoubtedly some rough spots.
That was actually a really excellent review! One of the best that I've read thus far. I would've registered for that site to comment if they didn't ask for everything but a blood sample. =/
I worked at Toys R Us for 4 years, and this isn't the Black Friday ad folks. This same ad comes out every year and ENDS just before Black Friday. The poster, along with the writer on this site (which appear to be the same) weren't using their noggins.
And people, if you realize that this is fake, which it is, exercise your right to report and do so. This is probably gonna mislead a few folks...
Brilliant post! Thanks for sharing!
One of the best comments I've ever read on N4G. B)
Awesome trailer, but they really need to leave out the console preference at the end. If the game is equal on all platforms, why push another and show bias? (I know Microsoft probably throws money at Activision to do this, but that's beside the point...)
Either way, yet again, awesome trailer.
How does listing a boatload of games justify the 5 points brought up in this article? That list doesn't mean crap, because out of all those games, I'll only be buying a handful.
How come whenever someone criticizes the industry nowadays, there's always someone conveniently standing by with a massive list to shove in the person's face. Nobody had ever said that we weren't seeing tons of news games, that's not the argument... it's the overall experi...
2 words... Crappy... Marketing...
The person who wrote this article is REALLY out of touch with reality. I read this a few days ago and hoped it wouldn't end up on N4G, cause' it's an abomination. >.<
