If you read the full article, it's pretty clear that that's what they did. Different model numbers, better response, etc. So I'd say tons of people are already using it.

To my knowledge, the PSEye branding is completely different from the Eyetoy. I don't see why they would have to use '2' anyway, unless there was a PSEYE 2.

I gotta say, I plan to buy the game anyway, but this will probably disappoint folks who want to modify their cars in the game to mimic their real-life cars. That was always one of fun things to do when in the Gran Turismo games. Dream car, real-life car, most powerful car, most modified car. Love it! =p

I was an avid Home user for quite some time, but then started visiting less and less. But v1.4 is like a shot in the arm for the app, and I'm in it much more these days. Absolutely lovin' it.
I believe there's the option to go even bigger, unless they removed that. But I think I went with the 13-15GB install. Though you can always change it afterwords.
Well, you can post up pictures from your HDD on your walls, it's just the audio and video media sharing that haven't come full-circle yet.
Not a bad review. I heard the game was great, but definitely lacking in many areas. I actually did expect it to get the usual 9/10.
