Some developers complained about the xbox 360's dvd-9 format. Also I did use to own the xbox 360 before, but I didn't like it. I ended up selling it in Ebay for $300 not $50 like you said. In case you don't beleive me:

Also I forgot to mention that I had a lot of fun playing with it for the first few days. But after about a week and a half I started realizing it was just a game system that deep down it was still an xbox and that it only played dvd's not Blu-ray. After three weeks I decided to sell it on ebay knowing that what I truly wanted was a PS3 with Blu-ray, 1080P, Cutting edge graphics, and incredible games. You happy now xbox fans, I did own one and didn't like it!

The only reason microsoft says that they're not pushing you into getting hd-dvd integrated into the 360 is because it would cost them money. Sony on the other hand is giving you a Media center, Blu-ray Player, and Game Sytem for $599.99, looks like a good deal to me.

The PS3 will obviously rule, just like the PS1 and PS2. what about the xbox 360, well it looks like the next dreamcast if you ask me.
Or maybe the xbox 360 will go the way of the dreamcast, they both had an inferior disk format than the competion.
