You miss the point, theres instances where people will hate a game that they'd probably like were it on their favored system, just due to the fact that it's not on their favored system, the article basically states that a true gamer will like games for the games, not the systems they're released on, nothing more nothing less.
Clearly it's not about owning every game, but having the sense and maturity to keep an open mind about other games for other platforms, rather than to automatically hate on it just because it isn't for you.
"The 360 updates take 10 seconds tops, PS3 updates take an hour and a half and you think that is perfectly OK?"
360 dashboard updates take a hell of a lot longer than 10 seconds, and PS3 updates take a lot less than an hour and a half, it's more like:
360 update : 45seconds - 3 mins (depending on update type, for example, major dash updates
PS3 update : 3 - 6 minutes (depending on if you have the previously latest firmware, or a really o...
Maybe I'm just being subjective here, but unless you haven't turned on the PS3 in a substantial amount of time, you won't have to install a firmware update to play the game unless the update on the disk is higher than the version you have installed.
Sure, if you want DLC and such, you will need to update, then update the game, and for Heavy Rain that will take time, since one of it's patches are 1.2gb - It's probably a good idea to keep this in mind.
I have a ps3, a 360, a Wii, a DS, a PSP, and a high end gaming PC.
I get to play *ALL* of the good games, you should try it some time instead of wasting your time arguing which console is better or which sold more hardware, or more games.
If you see a game and you like it, you buy it, do you care if 4 million others bought it instead of 3 million?, does it change the game?, if a game comes out for a console you don't have, does it make the games on the console you...
The problem is is, if you're comparing "sales of a console at the same point of it's lifetime on the market", while you may be able to say "We're selling better than the PS2 at this point of it's lifetime", you also have to accept the situation where "the PS3 is selling better WORLDWIDE than the 360 at that point of it's lifetime", too.
PS3 from November 2006 to Jan 2011 (51 months on market) - 46,583,290 (vgchartz)

While that's true, in reference to cars, at the same time, reducing the price of cars would make people who normally couldn't afford a car, more likely to buy one instead of buying used, or stealing one.
Agreed, in all honesty, i think they should drop the price of new titles to $35/£30, much more people would buy new games, and the used game market would be even more affordable.
What I've never understood is why digital downloads can a lot of the time, cost more than a physical copy!
"Microsoft has clearly won the battle of the current Gen consoles"
The Nintendo Wii called and says "Hello, i think you're mistaken, Sir."
Nitpicking at how the gameplay feels for a game that isn't out for another year, and a game they have not even played, that always makes sense.
In this topic, xbox fanboys defending the crappy kinect and ps3 fanboys defending the crappy ps move.
If that's how you dudes wanna spend christmas day, i think you got bigger issues than who's fanboy crush is better.
>>Tell me how does kinect copied eyetoy i would like to know. And if its coz you get to see yourself in a camera does that mean my web cam also copied the eye toy?
Controller-free gaming?
Would i agree that all of the xbox 360's sold that RROD somehow didn't count to the overall sales?, no, why the heck would i agree to something that isn't true or even logical.
I love how 2 people hit disagree - let me guess, xbox owners.
And theres just as many Microsoft employees that won't either.
Don't tell me "blah blah sales dont matter", when it's the #1 thing xbox fanboys use in their arsenal of trolling, then try to back-hand the ps3 by whining about sony needing to shut up, especially when the article isn't even by Sony.
If you compare both consoles lifetime sales from point of launch (i.e. take how long the ps3 has been on the market, then look at that same moment in time for the 360), you'll note that the PS3 is actually already ahead.
PS3 has sold (in 4 years and 1 month from launch) - 43,572,355
360 has sold (in 4 years and 1 month from launch) - 35,900,317
It's only when you add sales for the additional year on the market that the 360 pulls ahead.

To me, trophies and achievements extend the life of games, i don't personally play a game with the express intent of 100%, however with the prospect of being rewarded with an achievement or trophy, i am much more likely to take the game that extra mile.
And that, i think, is the whole point in having them.
Maybe it's just me, but he complains about hard trophies and achivements then whines about the easy ones, saying that trophies and shivements should be something you have to "earn"
How are you supposed to "earn" something without earning it being difficult?, it just feels like the first half of his rang negates the second half, then the second half negates the first.
They can sell them, but it's still not going to work with the latest firmwares/games.
All i know is, i have 60+ people on my friends list, and a number of those have recently been online with things like "blackb0x ftp server" etc, i pitty the idiot that actually goes online with homebrew apps, when the banwave comes, and it will, it's going to be gigantic, because thus far everyone in the "scene" is under the misguided impression that they're untouchable.
