The trophy hacks are a bad thing though, definitely, worst still, because people with hacked ps3's had access to psn (until recently), many were utilizing a tool which allowed them to more or less unlock 100% trophies without actually doing anything, in many cases without even owning the game either.

Thanks to a large chunk of people messing with modded consoles, and more specifically, trophy hacks, I tend not to take that much of a note of platinums in general.
That said though, highest level person on my friends list is female (you know who you are!), and without a shadow of a doubt is 100% legit.
