Rockstar stated it was running on a PS3.
I really liked making choices and decisions that would affect the outcome of the game.
That being said, the game did fall flat in a lot of areas. It wasn't the best game ever, but it also wasn't the worst.
American is not always the hero in games. There are plenty of American video games where the country betrays/abandons the main character(s).

This game wasn't multi plat because nobody else but Nintendo wanted to touch it.
That is character customization. You are putting custom clothing on him.
Also, Saints Row is trash now. Saints Row stopped being good when they release The Third.

But just because it's required for the system to work doesn't mean people will buy games for it or use it's features. They might as well have just included it with the console and left it at that.At the end of the day, the only people who are going to use Kinect are the ones who would have used it if it wasn't required for the console to work.
It doesn't have to be mandatory for the console to work. I have no problem with them including the Kinect with the system. It's the fact I need to hook up the Kinect for the Xbox to work.
Everybody would still have one, even if they didn't require it for the Xbox to work.
All they had to do was put it in the box along with the console and leave it at that.
I'm not doubting that some people like the new direction the series is taking.
After all, there are people who enjoyed Mind Jack, Alpha Protocol, DBZ kinect, and Sonic Free riders.
Even the worst games have people who enjoy them.
Nobody complained about Saints Row 2, so there wasn't really any reason for them to ruin the franchise with these changes that nobody wanted. All they had to do was expand on what made 2 great. Not make it a game for toddlers.
Saints Row isn't much fun either. The only people who will enjoy this game are 5 year olds that are obsessed with superheros.
Saints Row 1 and 2 had a perfect balance of wackiness and a serious tone. The story in the first two was also really fun.
Now the series seems like a game that was made to appeal to small children with short attention spans. The story sucks and I hate what they did to some of the characters.
Yeah, western games are the best. Nothing like a bunch of generic shooters with no innovation! Hell yeah!
I think GTA is pretty fun and I have never even thought about committing a crime in real life. I also had no problems with my parents.
Why are you getting this bent up about video game NPCs getting killed and the characters committing crimes?

I don't think this was made to make people think they can become some type of game designer overnight. I think it was made for people to have some sort of creation tool that is simple and easy and let's people with little skills in programming express creativity

There has been an Asian main character in GTA already. He was in Chinatown wars. The main character is some guy from China who is the son of a Triad leader or something like that.
Also, past GTA games had you working with Triads and Yakuza. So Asian gangsters are not too farfetched.
