EA would have to be my favourite publisher at the moment, i have bought a lot of great EA published games recently, i hope they keep it up with Dead Space 2
it was annoying, but it was more the fact that compared to san andreas it was a major letdown, the facial animations, the character animations and models, the driving, the combat, everything seemed inferior to the older ps2 game. I was playing it maxed out and it looked and played like crap.
we need to put the "valve hates sony" BS to rest. As Xi said, EA made the port as vavle didn't have a team that was experienced. Their name was tarnished by EA's laziness.

The witcher was my benchmark for dragon age. When I was reading about the poor graphics etc prior to release i told myself 'as long as it looks better than the witcher, i'll be happy", and as you pointed out, a lot of the time it doesn't.
But it is an rpg so it doesn't matter THAT much, but it still matters.

People saying gameplay over graphics need to calm it down. No one said the game sucks, I am playing the CE now and it's more delicious than 2 large pizzas to yourself after a big night on the drink.
