L4D 1 was half a game, so what does that say for l4d 2?, it's not even an expansion, it's friggin DLC
@disagree-ers, i own l4d, so don't tell me how it is, it was repetetive, boring ass shiat, all the reviews say that its just a reskin, new areas, new characters...same gameplay= same game
Don't take this as an example. DX10 stalker looks like bad dx9, DX11 stalker...looks like acceptable DX9.
In DX10 mode the characters have straight lines on their heads...didn't we get rid of that from games about 10 years ago?
I don't think piracy affects the developers as much as they claim at all. Like others said, those that consistently pirate and don't buy them, would not have bought the game anyway. I've pirated 2 games to see if they were any good before I bought them, because too many times I've bought games based on good user/professional reviews, and wanted to punch someone in the face for wasting my $99aus by lying.
PC games cannot be rented. For me, they can consider a torrent a rental. Be...
Entrenchement was pretty epic, hopefully this is as good
I don't care what platform you play on, if you buy this DLC, you are screwing yourself over, more people with get away with it as it becomes accepted. But the even sadder truth is that a lot of DLC is already ready at launch as well..they were just smart enough to not put it on the disk. I have no doubt the Dragon Age DLC was ready before they went gold. It was short, weak, and they already added the NPC dialogue option to buy it, to me that reeks of a scam.
Fallout 3 DLC was the...
I played the first one waaaaaaaaaaay back in the day, it had amazing graphics for it's time, but the gameplay and controls seemed a bit crappy. I'm already sold on buying this though, not only does it look amazing, but DX11 people!, we've gotta show the devs it's worth spending the extra money making the PC version the best....well what I meant was by an even bigger margin :D
Bioshock is on PC too, 50% of all Bioshock sales from the 3 platforms were on PC....and that's just retail sales...with DD, who knows.
This is definitely right up there on my hype meter, gonna pre-order the special edition on monday :D
That's great for valve, but it's a shame more people don't know about Impulse as well, it's just as easy to use as steam, but with Impulse games....you don't need an 'offline mode', you can play the games without the client even, IMpluse is just used for updates etc. Also: games that you buy at retail by stardock etc, you can add them tyo the client and use Impluse for updates, whereas with steam if you buy retail, you can't add them to steam, you can only add a shortcut. Again with the retai...
That sounds like an awesome idea, anything that's better for the environment = :D
I agree, there's no denying that some amazing things were done with the cell, uc2 is a console marvel. But with the development cost of the cell, as well as the fact that it made the console so expensive etc, they could have put in even a dual core cpu, and put in a better gpu, which would have provided much better results graphically, and in performance. Within a few years, they won't even sell dual core cpu's for pc's, it will all be quads, and when that happens every game will scale much b...
maxing out architecture is not a bad thing, if it was easier to program for, all games could be uc2 quality, right from the start. That would be much better than having the illusion of advancement (when it's really just being competent). If it had a quad core cpu, all games could be easily programed for 4 cores, and there would be no bottleneck, they could easily scale the texture and draw distance and effects based on the VRAM, and all games would have much more stable frame rates ( if the d...
Despite the lack of benchmarks, the principle still remains, gpu's are way more parallel that cpu's , the gt300 cards are essentially 512 core cpu's, regular cpu's including the cell could never implement the gpu features to their full extend for the simple fact that they are too small. They have enough trouble fitting bigger cpu cache sizes, let alone video ram and shader cores. Fermi is the first step, so it's not going to change the world, but the design they have introduced will be the st...
Maybe next gen the poor multiplat issues will be sorted out, and no doubt the ps4 will get a lot more games for this change. Good to see sony has learnt from their mistakes. Creating new processor architecture, which is not compatible, or easily ported to from existing universal multithreading cpu's was insane.
I'd love to hear MNicholas's explanation of why sony's 'vastly superior and cheap to manufacture' cell has been killed of, especially when as he claimed it had a large market out...
dude, IW isn't even smart enough for that, they do it manually ( going through the menus)
Proud pc industry supporter and pc gamer, we have to push the hardware so the consoleites can keep getting our hand-me-downs ;)
Fermi in q1 folks, nothing but smooth sailing.
I'm rarely impressed by game artwork, but that was awesome, the middle pic looked insane
Games like fallout 3, which lasted for well over 100 hours if you did everything, only cost $20 million to make....it also won game of the year. Lesson here kiddies: big budget does not = quality
I love kotor 2, it wasn't as good as the first but lucasarts made them release it 6 months before they were finished, so you can excuse the poor ending, hoping for that mod that adds the missing content in will be released soon, why oh why didn't they make kotor 3 instead of TOR...
This game constantly looking better to me.
lol at the guy who saw the tank and shot a sniper at it
Just finished only 5 minutes ago, 65 hours it took me, god damn it's a good, game can't wait for the next playthough, there better be a dragon age 2 soon though, i wanna know wtf happened with morrigan...if you choose to do a certain thing.
