You're crazy if you think a consumer can just go buy the things that are in the PS4 and run games anywhere close to what we'll see on it. Yes, PCs do other things. That's the whole point. That's what they're for. And no, most people do not build a gaming PC to NOT play games.

Well, I was hoping it was a mic in the controller, but I figured it wouldn't be. It DOES come bundled with a mono headset to plug into the controller (ala 360) and, hopefully, it comes with the camera. Plus, I'm sure any bluetooth headset would work.

I don't think any graphics cards come with 8GB of GDDR5. Even the Nvidia Titan that isn't even out yet only has 6GB and it costs $1000 by itself.
Maybe on the PS4 it will be pretty much the same as Steam (and be better in some ways), but on the PS3 it definitely isn't the same.
I don't think it would make much of a difference, they just need to go with GDDR5 and drop the other stuff they were using to try and accommodate for having slow RAM.
It's only 1GB of DDR3, but yeah, I'm sure they were making a sly hint at the 720. We'll see, but so far the rumors have been true and supposedly Microsoft has 8GB of GDDR3 with only 32MB (yes, only 32MB) of really fast memory, so it's now up to MS to up their RAM like Sony (according to the rumor Sony only had 4GB of GDDR5, but was thinking of going with 8GB, which they did.)

Yeah, if you look, the Phantom Pain trailer has quite a few jaggies where you wouldn't think it would. Almost looks like a really good looking Vita game... Plus, the screenshots were in the Vita's resolution or something. I remember hearing about that.

I accidentally hit disagree, but I completely agree with that comment and it's something people don't seem to realize. Here, take a bubble instead. And yes, it will push PC gaming even more because of things developers will be able to accomplish on consoles and it will head back to PC.
I'd have to say PS1>PS3>PS2. PS1 is my favorite, for sure, but PS3 is pretty close. I wanted a PS2, but I got a Gamecube. I'm kind of glad because I effing loved the Gamecube. It was Nintendo's last good console. I've had every Sony and Nintendo console except the PS2, but I played it a lot at friends' houses.

The only reason people even care(whether they like to admit it or not) is because it's something the 360 had that the PS3 didn't. The Vita has it so, obviously, the PS4 will have it.
I still hope it's a touch screen and not just a touch pad. I just don't see as much use of a touch pad. With a touch screen there is so much more application.
Personally, I'm hoping for them to be like the Move trigger, but not the Navigation controller.

I think you have almost no idea about the technicals of any of these cameras. Bringing the wii into it doesn't really make an sense, either, as there is no actual camera.
