@DatNJDom81
It's coming full circle now.
Please, stop... Do you even know what that is compared to the PS4 and whatever the 720 will be? Compared to them, it's virtually the same thing as the PS3/Xbox 360, but it's able to handle 1080p on some games. That's about it. Everything is just a tiny step above PS3/360. Sorry, but Nintendo should have known this was going to happen.
@hollabox
You have to admit that that doesn't tell the whole story, though. That comment is almost as bad as ...
I watched the videos side by side, thanks to Ambrosia's links below. Most of it looks exactly the same, some of it looks better on the old one, a tiny bit looks better in certain areas on the PS4 one.
The screenshot on the article is the thing that probably stands out the most. I think they just need more time with the PS4. Also, like everyone keeps claiming (and we already knew), they don't have access to the full PS4 kit, yet.
Also, I don't know...
Yes, they will. When the PS4 and 720 release, differences in games between them and the PC version will be minimal. It will stay like that for a little while, at least.
They're already making the game for PS3, 360 and PC, so I don't think PS4 and 720 are out of the question, especially since they are both seemingly going to be very easy to develop for. You're just making it seem like a bigger thing than it is.
@Eyeco
It would be in 2014, so it would be close to the same thing. Both will be released by then. Hopefully it's released on next gen also. I don't really want to get it on PC, but if it's not on the PS4, that's what I'm doing...
I think Killzone had some real next gen gunplay, while BF4 looked like BF3 with a lot better graphics (the people look really great in it, though). We'll have to see when the games actually come out, but I would rather play Killzone either way, not because of the graphics, really.
@MysticStrummer
When the PS4 comes out, I don't think most people will be able to even run games of the same quality on their PC. So, saying that PC will be the definitive version... I don't think so. Not for a little while, at least. Maybe after people's PCs catch up to the PS4, but until then, the PS4 will, most likely, be the definitive version in most cases. Who's to say the PC version will have the ease and features that the PS4 version will have? It'll be a l...
I'd say, almost anything BUT the Wii could be considered the best console to some people. N64, GC, PS1, PS2, PS3, NES, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, Xbox (almost forgot, not trolling ;) I'm probably forgetting more, though), even handhelds. The gameboy series was great. Hell, I still play games from almost all of those consoles, but to say the Wii is the best console OF ALL TIME??? I just don't understand that. Almost all the games are the same thing that was started on the N64 and Ga...
@PopRocks
A lot of times, yes, however, I don't agree with his comment.
@KingElixir
"I'll even say the GC was better."
OF COURSE the Gamecube was better. It had some pretty great games on it. Plus, that controller? How can you NOT say it's better than the Wii?
Well said.
Yep, definitely. Too many of my favorite games. Maybe I'd put 96 as #2, but damn, that list.
That doesn't really matter. I'm sure the capture device only records 60fps anyway, but even if it didn't, framerate fluctuates and that's what vsync does, makes the framerate stay at 60 so that it matches up.
If this WAS real, which it isn't, it would mean that it's a prequel, because it shows his age as of 2013. I don't know the years of the past games, but I'm pretty sure they're after that.
Well, it would be SCENARIO LOADING HOLD, but yeah.
So, Phantom Pain meme????? I mean, we knew it was the whole point, but they're kind of admitting that it was the whole point.
I assumed that's what it meant (marketing), but I can see how people would think he meant sales or specs or something.
KurianofBorg
I'm sorry, but that comment is just all kinds of stupid...
To add to my comment:
I do know that in the future people will be able to run games like this, but it will be a lot different then. You can't just throw more power at it and expect it to run like the PS4. The specs of the PS4 aren't as crucial as the way it's set up. It's set up in ways that consumers can't do. It's very custom and very fast. All the components can "talk" to each other VERY quickly unlike anything we can build with parts from the stor...
1080p/60fps shouldn't be a problem for the PS4. It could just be DICE trying to squeeze out more visuals, though, but hopefully we don't see anything in 720p from here on out. If a dev decides to go with 1080p/30fps, fine. Just as long as it works out design wise. But, a dev deciding to go with 720p just so they can get 60fps is bad happening on next gen consoles. They either need to optimize or stop shooting for visuals that they can't reach, but let's be honest, that shouldn...
