People can complain about this as much as they like. The real problem here is that it may be too late...
This practice WILL continue and may even get worse. Companies like EA are in it for the money and rightly so when gamers still purchase this sort of thing, even if they like it or not.

I know it should start at 18:00 GMT.

I completely agree. Fetch quests for whatever given reason are dated. I love Fallout 4 but it definitely feels old school in its design. The Witcher 3 has raised the bar.

Technically it would be Red Dead 3

Can you elaborate on your "amount of gameplay mechanics" comment please, because in my opinion this game doesn't offer anything excitingly different from anything else on the market at this time.
It's visuals and sound design are its saving grace and it truly feels like a great, authentic Star Wars experience, but the game is lacking in content and there's no doubt about it.
Fans of the universe will surely get more out of the game than others, and for th...

This is awesome!
It's such a shame how this franchise has gone dark after it took a wrong turn (looking at you Dead Space 3). The first game is still my favourite; the claustrophobic Ishimura was dripping with atmosphere and I actually preferred the choice to make Isaac a silent protagonist.
Dead Space 2 was also a very good game but didn't quite top its predecessor.
I really hope this series gets a terrifyingly great reboot!

Something akin to Legacy of Kain would make my day!

I completely agree with killing the most enigmatic and interesting villain being a bad decision, especially considering it was midpoint through the game.
With that said, FarCry 3 was a great game but i really didn't warm to FarCry 4 and although I tried my hardest, several times in fact, it felt more like an expansion rather than a full-blown sequel. And Kyrat didn't interest me as much as the tropical "paradise" in FarCry 3; does anyone else feel the same?

Fallout 4 is undeniably a very good game and I don't disagree with your review, but I have to agree with specific complaints people have with it thus far. The main issue I have with Fallout 4 is its engine, which just isn't up to today's standards.

Bethesda really played it safe this time and despite making several much needed improvements, it almost feels old-school in its design. They really have to step their game up for the next Elder Scrolls as they simply ca...

It's not a rehash, far from it actually. Fallout 4 improves upon a number of areas where its predecessors were lacking; combat, story, graphical quality etc.

However, I do agree that the creation engine looks and feels dated, but you cannot deny the incredible wealth of content and enjoyment this game provides. I think the problem that most people are having with this game, especially if they didn't enjoy Fallout 3 or New Vegas, is the number of similarities and are t...

The sad thing about this is that it will still sell very well, regardless whether or not it is lacking in content or becomes tedious after a short while.

With that said, the beta was fun, but I could immediately tell that there wouldn't be enough for me to truly enjoy (I absolutely hate the decision to have vehicles spawn as power ups though). From what I've read so far, walker assault is the mode of choice and the only one which feels authentic, whereas the other mod...

This is too true. The game is fantastic and it offers a multitude of things to do. Fallout 4 is a solid 9 out of 10!

Are you guys serious? Whilst the graphics aren't jaw-dropping, they are more than sufficient given the scope and scale of the game. In my opinion, the graphics are very good; the lighting is fantastic and it looks phenomenal at certain times of day and with weather effects. I will mention that I saw Fallout 4 on my friends LG TV, which is fairly averge and it made the game look lacklustre when compared to my Sony Bravia (with motionflow impulse enabled).
Honestly, the graphics are...

Fallout 3 looked like piss when it released too! I'm not even going to go there when it comes to the animations... Honestly, to me this doesn't even look that bad. It's more or less what I expected but I'm sill reserving judgment until I've actually played it.
Can everyone just enjoy the f*cking game for what it is? Because either way, it will get the reviews it deserves and it'll sell ridiculous quantities whether the graphics are good or bad, it doesn't m...

If it continues to sell then it's guaranteed to still release annually... It's a shame because this series could be great; it may even work as a fully-fledged RPG similar to The Witcher 3. Since the first game, the most pure Assassin's Creed if you ask me, the franchise has become severely bloated with ideas that are impressive in theory, but execute very poorly.

Ubisoft: scrap the animus/modern-day concept, reinvent your lacklustre mechanics, opt for a much darke...

The problem is not just the awkward movement and general gameplay frustrations, it's the lack of direction in regards to the overall plot and its conclusion. The mission structure is also a major problem and part of the series which needs a drastic change but instead, each year Ubisoft ships another rehashed iteration of this tiresome, disappointing franchise.
Don't get me wrong, Assassin's Creed always had massive potential but the inconsistent story, boring characters (a...

The Legacy of Kain series was truly ahead of its time. Soul Reaver remains one of my favourite games; the story, art direction, mythology, it was incredible! However, I was unsure of Dead Sun as it just didn't look to be on the same level as its predecessors, so I'm thankful it was cancelled but Nosgoth is a world I would like to return to someday.

If there were to be a remake I think it would be a good idea to start with Blood Omen, which would give newcomers and fan...

Statistics show that there are more mobile games being bought, downloaded and played than console and PC. However, this really isn't anything to shout or even worry about in my opinion. Sure, more developers will create the occasional mobile game and companion apps will become more prevalent, but I very much doubt that this will sway the gaming industry like most articles claim. The reason why mobile gaming is extremely popular is because an overwhelming majority of people own mobile phon...
