Internal competition can be a good thing

He mentions 'no USB-C' twice as some sort of negative, the cable is included with the PS5.

PS5 uses PC SSD - they just use PCIE.4 ones. Most PC gamers don't have a PCIE.4 MB at the moment.

Sony definitely made the right decision going off the shelf. They'll be faster than proprietary cards and cheaper in the not to distant future.

Console gamers will more than a PC gamer, these SSD's are baked onto the motherboard with custom io's running the buggers.

It will be a significant boost to console gaming.

Using off the shelf SSD's is the best option going forward - proprietary cards are not. Anything proprietary costs more - always has, always will.

LOGIC - how good is it Sony gives their customers choice when it comes to exclusive games.

Not everyone has the same tastes after all.

ArchangleMike - what NealGamby wrote was almost verbatim what Mark Cerney explained during the road to PS5 presentation.

Now I don't know you attitude towards Mark Cerney, personally the man is a genius. But one thing about Mark is he doesn't bullshit. He doesn't say something if it isn't worth saying.

Smartest man in the room.

Obscure - whinge some more.

This is good for Sony customers, they're looking after their own.

ms looks after its customers, no launch titles, BC here and there.

You guys are loving it. And I've gotta say - I've never seen you happier.

Good for you champ - celebrating mediocrity.

And this practice of "quoting" what someone has said - grow up you lot. The comments are there to ...

rlow1 - what about GTA4? - 50 million to keep DLC off PS3.

Reap what you sow.

1934d ago 10 agree4 disagreeView comment

rlow1- haha, ms are doing what their customers want, Sony are doing what their customers want.

Sony has decided to invest in mulitiple 3rd party deals, ms spends $7.5 billion on some studios past their prime.

I like Sony's strategy a little more, benefits me greatly.

Happily pay that mate - new games, new experiences.

Bring on PS5.

1934d ago 12 agree17 disagreeView comment

And they're going to continue doing it, just looking after their customers.

Nice one Sony, keep up the good work.

He's a singer? White dude checking in.

1935d ago 5 agree5 disagreeView comment

Yes - because if there's one problem Sony has is their lack of top tier studios and GOTY contenders /s

I think Sony has to send it to you once PSVR ownership has been confirmed.

Not sure on how they're going to do that.

1935d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

Pretty sure it's a HDMI 2.1 port, but I'm also wondering about the cable. I think I'm just going to buy a few anyway, just to be safe.

1935d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

Storm23 - Just use the cable supplied to transfer data, external drives can be any speed - they didn't say otherwise.

Only PS4 games can be ran off external, PS5 games can be stored and transferred over.

I'd stay away from Seagate, I've only ever had trouble with them. Best bet would be a Western Digital Black.

Good luck.

What a ridiculous, misguided comment - PC replaces 1 of the 3 consoles. I'll let you figure out which one it is.

1935d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

Zenimax/Bethesda behaving badly - say it ain't so. Who saw that coming? /s

That'll be us in 3 weeks, I got the whole the whole package too.

Not a biggie - but I hope the remote is of high quality.
