Some people think that Ratchet and Clank will help with Ps3 sales.....
But.....
The first Ratchet and Clank sold 2.9 million copies.....
The second one sold 2.4 million copies
The 3rd one sold 2 million copies....
Do you notice a trend?
Every Release has saw a decrease in sales.
So with this trend....If Ratchet only sells 1 million and a half total....How will that increase Ps3 sales?
The numbers were reversed....Sony Fanatics would be talking SOOOOO much garbage and Xbox 360 fans would never hear the end of it.
If the Ps3 was selling 120k a week and the xbox 360 was selling 20k a week....

In Japan...For Microsoft...They need to just grow their fan base beyond what the original Xbox did. And as long as they keep releasing Great Games in Japan. It is sent to the tv as a 720p signal and if you have a 1080p tv...thats the signal sent to your TV from the Xbox 360.
In the case of Ratchet being 704p...The Ps3 doesn't upscale it to 720p. So what it is is what you get.
Personally all that 640p and 702p talk is irrelevent. If the game looks good...thats all that matters. And in both cases the games look good.

I have always liked Soul Caliber, Virtua Fighter, and Dead or Alive better than Tekken. Not to say I don't like Tekken. I absolutely do. Its just not the best fighting game I've played. Thats common sense folks. When the Ps3 launched...it was 600 dollars. When they dropped the price by 100 in July....The sales spiked for that month.....Dropping the price by 200....would definately give the Ps3 a nice spike as well.
We can all pull sites that show different numbers....but why argue about which site is the most accurate? Sony fanboys will believe any site that shows bigger gains for the Ps3...and xbox fans will show sites that show lesser gains. And it goe...

The Ps2 sales are slowly dying...and the Ps3 sales linger at around 100k a month....Sony had a Great run though...Ps1 and 2 dominated for their time. The only way the Ps3 will have a chance this generation is if it can get the price down to 200 or less. PERIOD.

Dude....maybe its because the TV he is using is a 720p/1080i tv.
And its great for those people who have HDMI TVs....You get the full 1080p if your tv accepts it....There are a few tv's that don't accept the vga signal...so this is a solution for them. Of course the best option is to buy the Elite or the new 360's with hdmi built in.
But this is an option for the few 360 owners that may need or use it. DJ and others would bash me relentlessly when I said there would be an adapter like this eventually.
Your right. Developers had to suck it up and deal with it. Why? Well because the Ps2 was the most popular system on the market. It outsold the Dreamcast and the Gamecube easily. So Developers could gripe and complain all they wanted. If they wanted to make some money in the gaming industry...they had to develope for the Ps2. Consumers spoke loudly and the Ps2 was their platform of choice.

I have them both hooked to my 61 inch DLP 1080p Tv via HDMI.
Every single game 3rd party game that is on both systems....Looks and plays better on the xbox 360. Some look close...but most look better and have much better frame rates on the xbox 360. I know that statement will bother some fanboys...But its the Truth.

Nintendo reported sales of 13.2 million Wii units worldwide to date. The same week, Microsoft disclosed in a Q1 earnings report sales of 13.4 million Xbox 360 units worldwide.
This is in their financial reports.....This is the only solid info on Sales for companies. VG charts and all those other sites are never close to accurate. But then again how could they be?
