here in new zealand i had a laugh at the local eb games store, there was an american father and son in the store, the son looked at his dad and said "well i guess we are going to have to get used to the crazy game prices here in new zealand!"
yes we pay far too much, i recommended they shop elsewhere, eb games are ridiculously overpriced, shop elsewhere and you can pick up a new game cheaper then eb sells the same game second hand.
i bought fear 2 cheap and just finished it tonight, i really don't understand the hype behind these games, the graphics were pretty bad and the ending...i don't think ill get the third.
yeah theres no point holding devs back with old hardware, its time to move on.
i for one cant wait for the next gen consoles to hit the market, im seriously wanting more then the current gen can deliver.

only error Ive had with my console is when Ive turned it on, everything seems fine until i start a game, and i get a moving purple vertical line from the top to the bottom of the screen, its about two inches in from the edge, and theres all this other messy transparent pixely stuff in the middle of the screen, anyone else had this problem?
Ive found unplugging from the wall makes it go away, but it comes back every now and then, i got a brand new replacement unit, but it do...

yeah ive got two of the original consoles, one was a launch model, the other is from when they added HDMI, neither has crapped out, pretty lucky considering how high the failure rate was.
i want to get the new slim model, seems that they really sorted the issues out, only thing is i hate the shiny finish on it, but i need to upgrade just for the bigger HDD.
well yes xbox owners want an exclusive character, i don't think thats a bad thing, the console exclusive characters just adds that little cool factor, so if 360 had a decent character i would be all for it.
problem is i cant think of one decent character they could add to the 360 version, im sure if there was one it would be announced by now, considering the game comes out soon, certainly they couldn't beat kratos, he really does fit it incredibly well.
well we all know how the story of halo goes, but i still cant wait!
i fully disagree with you, not everyone wants a high end pc just to play games, my 5 and 10 year old nieces love playing kinect, they love jumping around in front of the tv playing kinectimals, should there parents be limited to a high end pc that the kids wouldn't be allowed to use?
or my mum, shes 50, she loves relaxing on the couch playing games, should we count her out as a gamer and tell her to get a high end pc she wouldn't even know how to use?

four years is a long time, graphics aren't improving much now, and i do believe consoles are holding the devs back, im ready for the next round of consoles, bring it on!
i don't care about pc gaming at all, its great they have higher resolution etc, but at the end of the day most pc gamers are still stuck in the past playing WoW and the sims, or other equally geeky games.
better graphics or better games? i know what i choose.
is it just me or do gameshark always seem to give even great games a less then average review, ive only read a few of there reviews but they just seem bitter and determined to put people off playing even the best games.
the collectors edition for ME2 was awesome, hope they do another steelbook and maybe a figurine or goodies to top it off.
maybe its like the old mega cd sonic where you kinda time travel, probably have to go back in time and save retro sonic, old sonic looks way better anyway.
its sad what MS has done to rare, sure by todays standards the original kameo may look pretty poor, but as a launch title it was awesome, and one thing the xbox is sorely lacking is kid friendly adventure games, theres just no middle ground anymore, you have kinect for the kiddies, and you have halo and gears for the hardcore, but if you just want a good fun platform or zelda type adventure game look elsewhere, the only thing on xbox to fill that gap is crappy movie games.

lol im not a graphics whore, but going from crysis 2 to fear 2 its really clear that fear 2 hasn't aged well, especially considering it came out around the same time as killzone 2.
