both games are awesome, resistance has always been average, but finally they nailed it with the third game, the graphics may not have been the best but game play wise they perfected it, it reminded me a lot of classic shooters like halflife.
gears on the other hand has always had great graphics, and while in gears 3 they have got better, i also find they look more washed out then the previous games, the gritty struggle for survival has almost become a comedy.
sure uncharted is cartoony, but it was that way from the beginning, it was an artistic decision that they have carried throughout the series, gears on the other hand has changed drastically for the third game, in my opinion for the worse.
and i agree crysis 2 isnt without its flaws, but installed on 360 it runs very smooth, and on a technical level blows GOW3 away, try shooting trees, or hanging street lights etc in crysis 2, the environments reacts to you, try the same thi...
ive only just started playing it, but i kinda feel disappointed, the graphics are way too cartoony now, and the acting seems to have gotten worse, i just finished crysis 2 and that game makes gears look so dated.
its fun i guess, but gears has morphed from serious gritty struggle for survival into a bulletstorm wannabe.
cliffy b is so up himself if he thinks reviewers that give this game an 8 are just haters, he needs to be realistic and realize the graph...
that may well be true, but when you look back at when the game was released not many people could run it properly on pc, just look at how awefull the game trailers video review looks now, http://www.gametrailers.com...
to the lucky few who played crysis with maxed out settings, pat on the back to you!
a few years of making a more efficient engine and using cryengine 3 wi...
well im 5'2 so links taller! damn!
awesome, this has always been one of my favorite fighting franchises, cant wait!
the sucky thing is if i get it on xbox i have to buy two 1500 MS point cards or a 3000, so im still spending more to get it on 360.
either way im really looking forward to playing the original crysis.
never played the first game, but i cant wait to give it a go, going to be interesting to see how well they have optimized it for console, running on cryengine 3 has got to have its advantages.
actually i think the 360 version looks better, the lighting changes the whole look of the game.
anyone else notice theres wee circle valves on the tanks on the xbox version but not the pc pic?
from what i gather this is going to be a download game, anyone know how many GB it would be, or if theres going to be a retail copy?
fine by me, theres far too many games i want due out this year, now crysis has been added to the list.
with assassins creed revelations, god of war collection, ico collection, gears 3, forza 4, uncharted 3, silent hill downpour, MGS collection, batman AC, sonic generations.......the list goes on.
i want to buy all these and more, but i have no idea how im going to get the time to play them all!
hell yeah, this is awesome news!
might have to go back and replay crysis 2 again.
wow theres some serious talent working on halo 4, this is exactly what the franchise needs!
yeah a lot of kiwis are kinda backing Scotland if we dont win ;) so all the best to you too!
never played RE4, so really looking forward to the HD version.
i was totally put off this game once i saw the pricing options.
yeah you have to pay to fully unlock characters? sounds like family game night all over again.
probably due to people spending the extra ms points that microsoft accidentally gave out not so long ago, pretty harsh though.
man i love gears but hate cliffy b, hes got hes head stuck so far up his own ass...
